The Xiaomi Sound Play complements your music with light effects on the top and bottom of its body. The top Infinity Mirror light creates a spatial effect inspired by a light tunnel, while the bottom light ring offers several lighting modes. Choose between ripple, beat, and steady lighting modes to easily tailor the light atmosphere to the music and your current mood.
Compact design for easy portability
The speaker has a slim body weighing approximately 415g, so you can easily carry it between rooms or take it outside with you. A soft rubber strap makes it easy to carry, and practical buttons allow you to control basic functions directly on the speaker. The model is available in black, white, purple, and green.
Powerful 18W sound with pronounced bass
The acoustic design uses a racetrack-shaped full-range driver with a rated power of 18W. This is complemented by an external and internal passive radiator. If you have two Xiaomi Sound Play speakers, you can pair them into a single stereo setup via TWS. One speaker will then play the left and the other the right audio channel, creating a wider and more spatial soundstage. TWS is primarily intended for playing music.
Auracast – connect up to 100 speakers
Auracast technology allows you to create a more extensive setup from multiple compatible Xiaomi speakers. You can connect up to 100 devices that can synchronise playback of sound and light effects. The solution is therefore suitable for parties or larger communal spaces, for example.
IP68 for use at home and outdoors
The Xiaomi Sound Play has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The increased durability allows the speaker to be used without worry during normal outdoor activities. However, it is not a professional waterproof speaker and should not be used or charged under water or in a humid environment.
Up to 14 hours of battery life
The built-in lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 2,600mAh. On a single full charge, it provides approximately up to 14 hours of playback, so the speaker can handle a full day's trip or a longer party. The stated battery life was measured at 40% volume, playing via Bluetooth with the lighting turned off; actual battery life depends on usage.
Bluetooth 6.0 for a stable wireless connection
Modern Bluetooth 6.0 ensures a fast and stable wireless connection to a compatible phone, tablet, or other sound source. The stated wireless transmission range is up to 25 metres, so it is not necessary to keep the connected device in the immediate vicinity of the speaker at all times.
