Large AMOLED panel with a sharp resolution
The 6.83-inch screen combined with a 2772 × 1280 px resolution provides plenty of space for reading, watching videos, and working on documents without unnecessary zooming. The AMOLED panel with a billion colours and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio displays deep blacks and vibrant colours that stand out when watching films or viewing photos. A 120Hz refresh rate, along with an instantaneous 2560Hz touch response, makes the TCL P80 a phone that responds smoothly to every finger movement. In addition, thin bezels measuring just 1.38mm on the sides maximise the usable screen area.
A large sensor that can handle the dark
The main 50MP camera is built on a large 1/1.56″ sensor with 1.0μm pixels that capture significantly more light than smaller sensors in this category. The 4-in-1 pixel binning technology creates effective 2.0μm pixels, ensuring evening shots remain clean and free from distracting noise. A 6P aspherical lens reduces image distortion and maintains sharpness to the edges of the frame, while the combination of optical and electronic stabilisation ensures sharp photos even when shooting handheld. The TCL P80's Dual Native ISO technology then helps maintain detail in both highlights and shadows simultaneously, so images resist glare and aren't afraid of the dark.
A wider shot and share-ready images
The dual rear cameras are complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view and autofocus, which can capture a vast landscape or a group photo without needing to step back. The 32MP front camera with HDR support and a powerful imaging algorithm takes sharp selfies ready to be shared instantly on social media. MuseFilm filters add the soul and depth of analogue photography to your shots, while the colour palette enables you to fine-tune shades professionally, even without prior photo editing experience. The AI motion capture feature helps focus on fast-moving objects, so you can capture even action-packed moments.
Balanced performance for everyday tasks and gaming
The octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Elite processor, built on a 4nm process, combines four high-performance cores clocked at up to 2.5GHz with four power-efficient cores, ensuring smooth app performance and reasonable energy consumption. The 8GB of RAM can be virtually expanded by up to another 16GB as needed, which makes a difference when switching between a large number of open apps. The 256GB of storage offers plenty of space for apps, photos, and offline music and films. In addition, the manufacturer promises smooth performance for five years with the TCL P80, so the phone won't slow down even after extended use.
All-day battery life and a quick power boost
According to the manufacturer's internal tests, the 5000mAh capacity can handle up to 17 hours of video streaming, 11 hours of non-stop gaming, or 41 hours of talk time, so the phone will easily get you through a normal workday. The smart power-saving system combines intelligent power management, an adaptive refresh rate, and deep sleep for unused apps, without you having to adjust anything. Fast charging with 45W of power and support for the USB Power Delivery standard replenishes energy significantly faster than conventional chargers, which you'll appreciate especially when time is short.
A clear picture in the sun and in the dark
A peak brightness of up to 3200 nits ensures the display remains clearly legible even on a bright summer day, when standard phones fail in direct sunlight. The support for HDR content renders rich light and dark tones with a much greater range of detail than standard SDR displays, which you will appreciate when watching films and series from streaming services. A pair of stereo speakers with DTS Cinematic Surround sound and a volume boost of up to 300% on the TCL P80 complements the picture with sound that holds its own even in noisier environments. This makes watching videos feel natural and immersive without having to reach for headphones.
Strikingly thin and light for everyday carrying
The phone's slim design and low weight make it a pleasant companion that won't get in the way in your pocket or hand, despite offering a large 6.83" display. The satin-smooth finish on the back feels pleasant to the touch, is non-slip and, unlike glossy materials, doesn't show fingerprints as much. TCL collaborated with world-renowned materials expert Chris Lefteri on the final design, which is reflected in the thoughtful tuning of the colours, finish and overall impression of the workmanship. You can choose the TCL P80 in two shades, an elegant Midnight Blue or a warmer Sunlit Gold, both of which have a sophisticated look without being unnecessarily flashy.
A smart helper always at hand
The Android 16 system, with support for up to four major updates, ensures the phone remains up-to-date and secure even after several years of use. Google Gemini functions as a fully-fledged AI assistant that you can have natural conversations with, get long texts summarised, plan a trip, or develop your own ideas into a concrete form. Additionally, the Circle to Search feature lets you search for anything directly on the screen just by circling it, without having to leave your currently open app. The TCL P80 thus combines the latest version of Android with AI tools that save you time on everyday tasks.
