Muc-Off sealant is designed for rims with tubeless preparation. It operates at temperatures from -20°C to 50°C and from 15 to 120 psi. Perfectly seals holes up to 6 mm wide, porous tyres and gaps between rim collar and tyre. You will also appreciate its durability, which is up to 6 months in temperate climates. The sealant does not dry out or form lumps. The Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle is the ideal solution for all racing and recreational cyclists.
Package contents:
1l bag with "sealant", 15ml measuring cup, UV lamp, key for removing the valve core
Use:
1. Remove any old rim strip or tape and thoroughly clean and dry the rim.
2. Take the new tape from the package and start gluing it on the side opposite the valve hole.
3. Unwind a small section of tape and press it with your thumb or finger.
4. Once you have glued a few centimetres, the tape starts to stick by itself and it is no longer necessary to hold it.
5. Continue around the circumference of the rim. If the rim has a deeper profile, stretch the tape slightly and adjust to the edges.
6. Overlap the tape by approx. 10-15 cm. Leave a small piece unglued and cut off the rest.
7. Then press the tape to ensure a good seal and run your thumb over the entire rim to remove any air bubbles or unevenness.
8. Using a thin pin or needle, locate the valve hole and cleanly pierce the tape.
9. Take the tubeless valve and remove the retaining ring and O-ring.
10. Select the appropriate rubber extension for the rim type and insert the valve into the hole.
11. Slide back the O-ring and retaining ring, and gently tighten the valve - do not overtighten to avoid damaging the seal.
12. Put on the selected jacket, but be careful not to damage the tape (especially when using the mounting levers).
13. Inflate the tyre - there should be a characteristic "clicking" sound as the tyre seats into the rim foot.
14. Release the air and remove the central part of the valve using the valve extension.
15. Shake the sealant bag well and screw it onto the valve in a vertical position.
16. When holding the bag, turn the wheel so that the bag is facing downwards.
17. Squeeze out the sealant by gently rolling the bag from top to bottom.
18. Turn the wheel back to the upright position and remove the bag.
19. Replace the centre of the valve and inflate the casing to the desired pressure.
