Subfloor and supporting members

Floor: 190T Polyester, Polyurethane (11 000 mm H2O coating). 190T Polyester is exceptional in its toughness. It is sufficiently strong and flexible and at the same time very light. Especially for tents, this combination of features is an invaluable advantage. Polyurethane coating is a permanent impregnation that is applied directly to the material in various layers. Special fabric treatment prevents water penetration. The coating parameter determines the height of the water column (given in mm H2O), in other words the ability of the material to resist water pressure.
Bearing rods: Dural is a material that is widely used for the external construction of tents thanks to its favourable properties, especially for expedition tents where every gram counts. Duralumin is an alloy of aluminium with other elements to which it owes its light weight and ability to withstand higher loads.

Outside and inside tent

External condition:210T Polyester Ripstop, Polyurethane (7 000 mm H2O coating). 210T Polyester Ripstop is a very lightweight material that is tear resistant. Synthetic polyester fibres increase the product's protection against harsh weather conditions, fading and extensive wetting, as they dry really quickly. These properties are further enhanced by the RIPSTOP material treatment. The fabric woven with this technology prevents mechanical damage and, if it occurs, stops further spontaneous crack propagation. Polyurethane coating is a permanent impregnation that is applied directly to the material in various layers. Special fabric treatment prevents water penetration. The coating parameter determines the height of the water column (given in mm H2O), in other words the ability of the material to resist water pressure.
Inner state:Nylon 190T, Mesh mosquito net. Nylon 190T is a very fine, lightweight and breathable synthetic fibre, but with sufficient strength and flexibility. They therefore resist tearing or other mechanical damage very effectively. The net mosquito net is made of soft, breathable yet strong material. It allows the air in the tent to circulate better. This ensures good ventilation.

Water column

Indicates the resistance of the fabric and seams to water leakage. Indicates the amount of water that the material is able to hold before it begins to leak. The higher the value in mm, the higher the resistance of the tent. Each tent should have a tropical canopy with a water column of at least 2,000 mm, which is approximately the pressure exerted by a raindrop flying at 80-90 km/h. If you want to weather the storm unscathed, a water column of at least 3,000 mm is a better bet. A water column of 5,000 mm is recommended for normal hiking. For more demanding conditions, choose a subfloor with a water column of 8,000-10,000 mm.
