Corsair 2GB KIT DDR2 1066MHz CL5-5-5-15 TWINX XMS2 DOMINATOR DHX EPP
Kit contains a pair of top DDR2 memory modules with a total 2 GB to support EPP technology that can set more aggressive timings and thereby dramatically increase the performance of the memory subsystem. Modules are designed for the bus with a frequency of 1066 MHz (PC8500 standard). They are particularly suitable for high-performance gaming computers or workstations that are equipped with a dual channel motherboard memory controller. More advanced users will especially appreciate the good overclocking abilities and a special cooler that allows the memory, run at higher frequencies at lower temperatures. Modules can handle aggressive 5-5-5-15 timings at a voltage of 2.2 V. The memory was tested on a series of motherboards from all the leading manufacturers to ensure maximum performance and stability, and addition with the NVIDIA SLI certification.
Technology EPP (Enhanced Performance Profile) is used primarily for fast memory according to settings stored profiles. It was developed by NVIDIA and Corsair, and is designed especially for overclocking. With it there is no risk of damage to the module for debugging memory trial and error. Quality modules can run on frequencies and timing far beyond their specifications. Memory to the SPD chip information stored on the nominal timing and still left plenty of room for additional information. In the unused area of the chip are then stored with other sections of parameters that chips can handle. Motherboard with the BIOS that supports EPP then the data only from the SPD chip list and properly faster memory subsystem. For proper function it is necessary BIOS support for motherboards and memory modules.
