Stable power and construction
The 12+1+1+1 Duet Rail Power System, along with two 8-pin connectors, supplies the processor with enough power for stable operation even during demanding tasks. Core Boost technology optimises current delivery and supports multi-core processors. The board's design uses a six-layer server-grade PCB, which contributes to better signal integrity and long-term reliability. Additionally, the main PCIe 5.0 slot is fitted using an SMT process, reducing electrical interference and supporting full transfer speeds.
Advanced cooling
The board features a comprehensive cooling system to maintain low operating temperatures even under full load. The extended heatsink on the power delivery system increases the surface area for heat dissipation. Key components are fitted with 7W/mK thermal pads. The M.2 Shield Frozr protects the M.2 storage, preventing overheating and the resulting drop in SSD performance. The system is complemented by an enlarged chipset heatsink and the AI Frozr Cooling function, which automatically adjusts the speed of connected fans based on the current system temperature.
Next-generation interface
The board supports components with high transfer speed demands. The main PCI Express x16 slot operates on the PCIe 5.0 standard and achieves a bandwidth of up to 128GB/s. It is reinforced with MSI PCI Express Steel Armor, which adds solder points for better mechanical durability when using heavy graphics cards. One M.2 slot is ready for ultra-fast storage, also using the PCIe 5.0 x4 interface. Four memory slots support DDR5 modules with frequencies up to 8800MT/s when overclocked.
Connectivity and smart features
For network connectivity, you can use the 2.5Gb/s LAN port and a wireless module with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 technology. The rear panel offers a Thunderbolt 4 port with a speed of 40Gb/s and DP 2.1 support for 8K monitors. The set of EZ DIY convenience features includes EZ M.2 and EZ PCIe clips for tool-free installation and a pre-installed I/O shield. System operation is optimised by tools like the AI Engine and AI LAN Manager. You can access all settings and monitoring through the MSI Click BIOS X interface and the unified MSI Center application.
