MSI GAMING Z170A M9 ACK
Along with the first 6th generation Skylake processors, Intel also introduced the brand new Z170 chipset - the heart of the perfect motherboard Z170A Gaming M9 ACK. MSI's high-end model is designed for the most demanding users. It is the ideal choice for high-performance gaming PCs that are used for the latest games or professional applications with multimedia content.
Ideal Motherboard for Unmatched Performance
The MSI Gaming Z170A M9 ACK is equipped with a LGA 1151 socket for the latest 14 nM Skylake processors. It also features four (4x) DDR4 slots that are protected against electromagnetic interference. DDR4 slots support a 2400MHz frequency but reach up to 3600MHz under full load.
Overclocking is generally very easy. It is aided by both the PCB design and the sophisticated Click BIOS 5, dedicated overclocking utilities and drivers, including a potentiometer for power control. It also has a set of heatsinks that can be connected to a water cooling system. This motherboard allows you to push overclocking as far as you want to take it and allows you to load overclocking profiles if you ever need to restore previous settings.
Superior Performance
Two PCI Express 3.0 slots allow you to connect the latest graphics cards, in both the CrossFireX and SLI modes so you can enjoy your favourite games to the tiniest pixel. All the slots have high-quality construction, with sturdy steel shielding and a high number of reinforced, soldered connections. You don't have to worry about damaging your graphics card when you carry your PC to the next LAN party.
For connecting the latest generation SSDs, there are SATA Express ports but also the latest M.2 interface. MSI's RAMDisk allows you to create a virtual drive from your system memory, enabling speeds up to 25x faster than a modern SSD. USB 3.1 Gen2 enables lightning fast transfer speeds up to 10Gb/s, 20x faster than USB 2.0.
The integrated audio codec uses the advanced NAHIMIC technology that allows you to keep track of all game action or to simply enjoy great audio quality. The components are also used by the military and aerospace industry.
Built for MMO Gaming
To make your gaming experience as smooth as possible, the MSI Gaming Z170A M9 ACK is equipped with the Killer NIC (Network Interface Card) that can prioritise gaming applications in network bandwith management and minimise latency. Gaming LAN Manager allows you to customise prioritisation based on your own requirements. The card also has surge protection.
