Levenhuk New Skyline PRO MAK 102/1300 AZ-EQA Telescope

The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO MAK 102/1300 AZ-EQA telescope is a catadioptric instrument that uses a Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design. This provides a sharp, high-contrast image, suitable for observing the Moon, planets, and more distant deep-sky objects. The versatile AZ-EQA mount allows for use in azimuthal mode for terrestrial targets and in equatorial mode for tracking celestial bodies. With a 102mm objective lens diameter and a focal length of 1300mm, this model is appreciated by both beginners and advanced astronomers.

Maksutov-Cassegrain optics

This telescope uses a Maksutov-Cassegrain catadioptric system, which combines mirrors and lenses. The result is a compact tube with a long focal length of 1300mm and an objective lens diameter of 102mm. All optical elements have a multi-coating that minimises light loss and increases image contrast. Thanks to these parameters, the telescope achieves a limiting stellar magnitude of 11.8, enabling the observation of not only planets but also brighter galaxies and nebulae.

Versatile AZ-EQA mount

The telescope includes a manual AZ-EQA mount, which offers two modes of use. In azimuthal mode, the telescope moves up, down, and side to side, which is suitable for quick observations of the sky or terrestrial objects. For more demanding astronomy, the mount can be switched to equatorial mode. This makes it easier to track celestial bodies as they move across the sky, as it compensates for the Earth's rotation. The entire assembly is placed on an aluminium tripod.

Observation kit

The package contains everything you need to start observing straight away. It includes two SUPER series eyepieces – the 10mm eyepiece provides 130× magnification and the 25mm eyepiece provides 52× magnification. The 90° screen size mirror is used for comfortable observation of objects high in the sky. An red dot finder scope makes it easier to aim at your target. The option to install a smartphone adapter (not included) also allows for astrophotography.
