Levenhuk New Skyline Plus 114/900 EQ2 Telescope

The Levenhuk New Skyline Plus 114/900 EQ2 is a Newtonian reflector telescope, ideal for both beginner and intermediate astronomers. With a 114mm objective lens diameter and a 900mm focal length, you can observe details on the Moon, the planets of the Solar System, and brighter deep-sky objects like nebulae and galaxies. The EQ2 equatorial mount with fine-adjustment mechanisms ensures stable and precise tracking. An aluminium tripod with adjustable height is also included.

Optics for detailed observation

This telescope is a Newtonian reflector, a design specifically for astronomical observation. The 114mm primary mirror gathers enough light to view not only planets but also more distant and less bright objects. With a focal length of 900mm, the telescope achieves high magnification, and with a limiting stellar magnitude of 12.9, it reveals even faint stars. Furthermore, all optical elements feature a multi-layer anti-reflective coating, which improves light transmission and image contrast.

Stable equatorial mount

Precise observation requires a stable base. The New Skyline Plus model is equipped with an EQ2 equatorial mount, which has a key advantage over alt-azimuth mounts. Once correctly aligned, you only need to turn a single knob to compensate for the Earth's rotation, which keeps the observed object in the field of view. The mount has fine-adjustment mechanisms on both axes, which facilitate the precise tracking of celestial objects. The entire assembly stands on an aluminium tripod with adjustable height.

Rich accessories and astrophotography

The package includes all the accessories you need to start observing. You get two SUPER eyepieces with focal lengths of 10mm and 25mm, providing different magnifications. The included 2× Barlow lens doubles their power. The 5×24 optical finderscope helps you locate objects in the sky. The telescope also supports astrophotography, as it is equipped with an M42 T-thread for connecting a camera. With the appropriate T-ring (not included), you can take pictures of the Moon and planets.
