Levenhuk F8"Solar System" filter set

The F8"Solar System" filter set from Levenhuk USA contains eight eyepiece filters for stargazing telescopes designed for detailed study of the solar system. The filters will allow you, for example, to make long-term observations of the Moon, comets, seas and dust clouds on Mars, details of Jupiter's belts and Uranus, Neptune, Saturn with the Cassini division or a daily study of Venus. All filters are made of optical glass to provide a sharp and clear image. They are designed for a 1.25" tube diameter and are compatible with various apertures. Each of the filters is equipped with an external thread for installation in the eyepiece and an internal thread that allows the combination of different filters. The Levenhuk F8 filter set consists of of the lunar filter, light yellow no. 8, yellow-green no. 11, yellow no. 12, light red no. 23A, red no. 25, light green no. 56A and blue no. 80A. The filters are neatly stored in two plastic cases for safe storage and transport.

A plethora of observing possibilities - case 1

The first storage case contains a lunar filter, which is an essential accessory for long-term observations of the Moon, which is very bright at more than 80% phase and can blind you; The filter reduces its "luminosity" and allows detailed observation even under a full moon. Light yellow filter no. 8 se has a high light transmission, making it suitable for low aperture stargazing telescopes and reducing chromatic aberration in refracting stargazing telescopes; It is used to observe seas and dust clouds on Mars, details of Jupiter's belts, as well as Uranus, Neptune and the Moon, and to observe comets. Yellow-Green filter no. 11 with high light transmission can be used in stargazing telescopes with small apertures and can be used to observe Saturn, especially the Cassini division, Mars and Jupiter. Yellow filter no. 12 can be recommended for owners of small stargazing telescopes because it lets in light well and emphasizes the contrast between details on the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Venus or comets.

Details you won't see otherwise - case 2

The second storage case contains light red filter no. The 23A, which is recommended for apertures from 130 mm and up, can be used for detailed studies of Mars and the Moon, for atmospheric phenomena on Saturn and Jupiter, or for twilight observations of Mercury and daytime observations of Venus; thanks to this filter are clearly distinguishable and comet tails. Red filter no. 25, designed for stargazing telescopes with apertures from 150 mm, is an excellent choice for observing polar caps, seas and dust clouds on Mars as well as clouds on Jupiter and Saturn. Light green filter no. 56A is very useful for observing Jupiter because it highlights the details of the large red spot and many subtle atmospheric features that are barely visible, but it can also be used to observe Saturn, Venus and the Moon. Blue filter no. 80A is one of the most popular filters for studying the planets of the Solar System - it allows you to see the Great Red Spot on Jupiter, details at the poles of Saturn, and the surface of the Moon, Mars, Venus and Mercury in detail.
