Microphone principle

A dynamic microphone is suitable for open performances, live inputs, music production, etc. It uses a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
A condenser microphone is mainly used for studio purposes. It has higher sensitivity and lower noise. It needs to be powered separately.

Frequency range

The frequency range indicates the range of frequency values that the microphone records. The wider the range, the more sounds it can record.
Low frequencies (e.g., 20–200Hz): Bass, the lowest tones of instruments (double bass, kick drum) and male voices.
Mid frequencies (e.g., 200–3,000Hz): The body of instruments, the foundation of the voice where the ear is most sensitive, important for speech intelligibility.
High frequencies (e.g., 3,000–14,000Hz): Treble, details, sibilance, and the "shine" of the sound.
Airy band (above 14,000Hz): Gives recordings a sense of expensive, super-high-quality sound and space.

Sensitivity

The sensitivity of a microphone is the ratio of the output voltage to the acoustic pressure. It expresses how loud a signal the microphone produces at a given acoustic pressure; higher sensitivity means a stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments because it amplifies less unnecessary ambient noise.

¹ Sold separately. Magnetic front covers in Obsidian Black and Glaze White are included as standard accessories with the DJI Mic Mini 2 (2 transmitters + 1 receiver), so there is no need to purchase them separately.
² The charging case can store the transmitters with the windscreen and magnetic front cover attached, even with the magnet or magnetic clasp attached. Inside the lid of the charging case, you can store the magnet and magnetic clasp or the audio adapter cable. When storing the DJI Mic series mobile receiver, the magnet or magnetic clasp can be stored on the left side inside the charging case lid, while only the magnet can be stored on the right side. To avoid product damage, do not store multiple items on top of each other in the charging case.
³ The DJI Mic Mini Receiver supports a combined connection to DJI Mic Mini/DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters, allowing up to two transmitters to be connected at once. The DJI Mic series mobile receiver supports a combined connection to DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic 3, DJI Mic Mini, or DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters, allowing up to two transmitters to be connected at once. For details, see the DJI Mic Mini 2 webpage in the “Downloads” section for a list of compatibility of DJI Mic series mobile receivers with various models.
⁴ Preset sound modes can be selected in the DJI Mimo app, with the default setting being “Regular”. This feature is not supported when the transmitter is directly connected to a phone via Bluetooth.
⁵ The Strong and Basic noise cancellation levels can be set via the DJI Mimo app or directly in the device interface when using Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, or Osmo Action 6 connected to one or more transmitters via DJI OsmoAudio Direct Connection. If the transmitter is directly connected to a phone, the noise cancellation level cannot be set in the DJI Mimo app; the default setting is the Strong level. The noise cancellation switch on the DJI Mic series mobile receiver allows for quick adjustment of noise cancellation levels (Off = O, Low = L, High = H).
⁶ When the DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter is connected to the DJI Mic Mini receiver or the DJI Mic series mobile receiver, this feature is enabled by default and can be turned on or off via the DJI Mimo app. When the transmitter is connected directly to a phone via Bluetooth, this feature is enabled by default and cannot be turned off. If the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, or Osmo Action 6 is connected directly via OsmoAudio, the setting can be adjusted on the product interface.
⁷ DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters can be connected directly to selected DJI products (up to two transmitters for Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6). The transmitter battery life when directly connected is approximately 7 to 8 hours. Support will be extended to other DJI products in the future. For details, see the DJI Mic Mini 2 webpage in the “Downloads” section for OsmoAudio.
⁸ Measured using the DJI Mic Mini 2 kit (2 transmitters + 1 receiver + charging case) paired with a fully charged charging case, with noise cancellation turned off, while recording close-up audio in an open environment without interference and obstacles, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver connected to a camera using the Camera Audio Cable (3.5mm TRS).
⁹ The weight of a single transmitter does not include the magnetic clasp and magnet.
¹⁰ A list of compatible devices can be found on the “Downloads” page on the official DJI Mic Mini 2 website.
¹¹ When connected directly to a smartphone via Bluetooth, the transmitter does not support audio recording using the native camera app on the phone; it only works with third-party apps. A list of compatible apps can be found on the “Downloads” page on the official DJI Mic Mini 2 website.
¹² Measured in a controlled test environment. Actual results may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version.
¹³ Measurement was performed in a controlled environment, with the battery status of the transmitters and receiver below 25%, using a charger with a 5V output voltage, with the noise cancellation function turned off, while recording close-up audio in interference-free conditions, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver connected to a camera using a 3.5mm TRS cable.
¹⁴ This feature is only effective when the device is turned on. If the automatic power-off function for the transmitter and receiver is enabled in the DJI Mimo app, both devices will automatically turn off if no pairing signal is detected after 15 minutes.
¹⁵ If the receiver is connected to a camera using the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter and the camera is not in video recording mode or enters playback mode, the receiver may automatically turn off and may not automatically turn back on when the camera is turned on. This depends on the technical specifications of the camera and may vary depending on the camera brand and model. Please verify based on your own usage experience.
