Compact drone with 1" sensor and 8K 360° video on the DJI Avata 360
The DJI Avata 360 drone with its 1-inch image sensor allows you to capture high-quality footage.¹ Shoot 360° videos in 8K resolution at 60fps with HDR or take photos with up to 120MP resolution¹¹ with a single touch.² The 2.4μm pixels, combined with the 1" sensor and HDR technology, capture both light and dark areas with a high level of detail. In post-production, individual shots can be cropped as desired to create multiple outputs from a single recording. The drone allows for seamless switching between 360° and Single Lens modes.⁴
DJI O4+ image transmission and stable 1080p live view
The quadcopter features the O4+ video transmission system, which ensures a stable, high-quality live feed for a smoother flight. You can take advantage of the flexible control options for capturing footage and using the Easy Acro function. The DJI O4+ transmission is highly resistant to interference and supports 1080p resolution at 60fps with a range of up to 20km.⁵
DJI Avata 360 control options and FPV experience
The DJI Avata 360 unmanned aircraft offers various control options. You can use the RC 2 remote controller or the Goggles 3/N3 in combination with the RC Motion 3 controller, which enhances the FPV flight experience with a 360° view. The shot moves along with your head's movement. Control with the DJI RC Motion 3 is also suitable for beginners. Dual-channel colour video transmission provides an overview of your surroundings.
Quadcopter safety features—LiDAR and propeller guards
The safety of the DJI Avata 360 drone is ensured by several protective features. LiDAR located at the front helps to effectively detect obstacles, while the obstacle sensing function for night filming³ in 360° mode is also useful for dynamic tracking. Integrated propeller guards further contribute to safer operation.
Intelligent Flight Modes and Object Tracking on the DJI Avata 360
The drone offers various flight modes and object tracking for enhanced control:
- ActiveTrack 360°⁶ – automatically selects the optimal tracking mode (Standard, Cycling)
- FPV Gimbal Mode² – adds a natural tilt in Spotlight Free, ActiveTrack 360° and manual flight modes
- Spotlight Free function – automatically tracks a moving object
- Spotlight – the front of the drone remains focused on the object, keeping it in the shot
360° Video Editing and Footage Manipulation
Footage captured with the compact drone can be easily exported in its original form and then edited in post-production – for example, by changing the composition from any perspective. You can also adjust the flight path, add creative spins, the Asteroid effect, or a dolly zoom. You can also export the unedited video exactly as it was shot. Editing 360° footage is intuitive and flexible.
DJI Fly, DJI Studio and Premiere Support for Drone Editing
Advanced algorithms and the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps make tracking people, vehicles, boats, and other objects incredibly simple. In the DJI Fly app, just move your phone to find the perfect angle, lock it, and then export the shot with a single tap. In both apps, you can easily add camera movements and perform complete video edits. Thanks to a plugin, you can also edit 360° footage directly in Premiere.

* All videos and images on this page were shot using the DJI Avata 360 by professionals in strict compliance with local laws and regulations and were edited in post-production. All videos and images are for reference only. Always adhere to local laws and regulations and ensure the drone has the appropriate certifications and flight permits before flying.
** All data on this page was collected using a production model DJI Avata 360 in a controlled test environment. The actual experience may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version.
*** All images, videos, and on-screen content related to the product itself on this page are for reference only. The actual product features (including but not limited to appearance, colour, and size) and on-screen content (including but not limited to backgrounds, UI, and illustrations) may vary.
¹ Available in 360° mode only. When shooting in 360° mode, each of the two CMOS sensors on the DJI Avata 360 has an imaging area equivalent to a 1-inch 4:3 aspect ratio CMOS sensor.
² Available in 360° mode only.
³ Conditions for enabling omnidirectional obstacle sensing at night: The front, rear, left, right, or top of the drone must be within range of surfaces with recognisable texture and an illumination intensity exceeding 1 lux. Similarly, the ground surface below the drone must be textured and diffusely reflective with a reflectivity above 20% (e.g., walls, trees, or people), also under lighting conditions with an illumination intensity greater than 1 lux. Do not fly the drone in adverse weather conditions such as strong winds (wind speed of 10.7m/s or more), snow, rain, thunderstorms, or fog. Do not fly the drone at an altitude of 5,000m or more above sea level. Do not fly the drone in environments where the temperature is below –10°C or above 40°C. Do not take off from moving objects such as cars or boats. Do not fly near reflective surfaces like water or snow. Otherwise, the camera system may not function correctly. The camera system may not function correctly in low-light environments. Always fly with caution and do not let the drone enter Attitude mode. DO NOT fly near areas with magnetic or radio interference. Known sources of magnetic or radio interference include Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, Bluetooth devices, high-voltage power lines, large power substations, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcasting towers. When taking off from a desert or beach, prevent sand from entering the drone. Fly the drone in open areas away from crowds. Buildings, mountains, and trees can block the GNSS signal and affect the onboard compass. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing is only effective in 360° mode on surfaces with recognisable texture and under light conditions of 1 lux or more, and is not available when entering the playback interface. In Single Lens mode, only forward obstacle sensing is supported.
⁴ In Single Lens mode, 4:3 aspect ratio video recording is only supported when using Goggles 3/N3 paired with RC Motion 3 or FPV Remote Controller 3.
⁵ Measured in an outdoor, open environment, free of interference, and in compliance with FCC regulations. A transmission distance of 20km is available only under FCC standards; in mainland China, the SRRC standard applies, with a maximum transmission distance of 10km. The above data shows the farthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights. Always pay attention to in-app notifications during your flight.
⁶ An RC 2, RC-N2, or RC-N3 remote controller is required to use the ActiveTrack 360° function. It is recommended to use ActiveTrack 360° in an open environment. For information on unsupported scenarios or scenarios that may interrupt recording, please refer to the user manual. In complex environments with many obstacles, be cautious when using the automatic mode to ensure safe flight and personal safety.
⁷ Sold separately.
⁸ The values shown were measured using internal storage or a high-speed microSD card in a laboratory environment with low interference in countries/regions that support both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies. Actual download speeds may vary.
⁹ Measured at a constant speed of 21.6km/h in a windless environment at sea level, with the camera in Photo mode, from 100% battery capacity to 0%. The data is for reference only. Always pay attention to the live view notifications during your flight.
¹⁰ A DJI 65W Portable Charger or DJI 100W USB-C Power Adapter is required for parallel charging. The hub supports parallel charging with an input power of 65W or higher. Otherwise, the batteries are charged sequentially, with the least charged battery being prioritised.
¹¹ For 120MP/16K 360° photos, the resolution is 15,520×7,760 (120MP) in JPEG format and 15,360×7,680 (118MP) in DNG format.
