6TH SENSE adapts the wash to the current load
6TH SENSE technology uses intelligent sensors that continuously monitor the soil level of the dishes during the wash cycle. Based on the data collected, it automatically adjusts the programme length, temperature and wash process. The WHIRLPOOL W8U HS61BS dishwasher can therefore adapt to different types of loads—from lightly soiled glasses to heavily soiled pots—without the need to manually set the parameters.
PowerClean Pro for stubborn dirt
PowerClean Pro technology uses special water jets in the lower basket that are up to 60% more powerful. The strong water stream helps remove baked-on food, grease and dried-on dirt without pre-washing. Pots and pans can be placed vertically, thanks to the PowerClean Pro layout, which can create up to 30% more space in the lower basket for other dishes.*

MaxiSpace adds more room inside
The MaxiSpace design offers 10% more internal space* without increasing the external dimensions of the dishwasher. The greater distance between the three baskets makes it easier to load bulkier items and allows for better use of the dishwasher's full capacity. The lower basket can hold plates up to 32cm in diameter** between the central tines, while the middle basket can hold dessert plates up to 19cm.

The Whirlpool dishwasher uses the NaturalDry system

Adjust the height of the upper basket to suit your dishes
The upper basket can easily be moved up or down by up to 3.5cm to suit the current load. Lowering it gives you more space for tall glasses and mugs, while raising it creates room for larger pots, baking trays or plates in the lower basket. This allows you to change the internal layout of the dishwasher according to the type of dishes you are loading.
Smoother movement of the lower basket
The improved rail system enhances the stability and movement of the lower basket. The basket can be pulled out and pushed in more smoothly, even when loaded with heavy pots, pans or a large quantity of dishes. This makes handling a full dishwasher more convenient when loading and unloading.
Delicate cycle for fragile items
The Delicate cycle is designed for glasses, goblets, and other delicate glassware. A lower temperature and gentler water pressure help to reduce the risk of damage to thin-walled glass during washing. You can use this programme for wine glasses, champagne flutes or other items that require more gentle handling.
Aquastop protects against water leaks
The Aquastop safety system uses an electro-valve located on the water inlet. If the inner lining of the inlet hose is damaged, the system automatically shuts off the water supply, helping to reduce the risk of water leaking into your kitchen.
