Large AMOLED panel with sharp resolution
The 6.83-inch screen combined with 2772×1280px resolution provides plenty of space for reading, watching videos, and working on documents without constant zooming. Displaying one billion colours with a 1000000:1 contrast ratio, the AMOLED panel delivers deep blacks and vibrant colours that make your films and photos stand out. A 120Hz refresh rate alongside an instant 2560Hz touch sampling rate makes the TCL P80 Ultra respond smoothly to every single swipe. Ultra-slim 1.38mm side bezels also maximise the usable screen area.
Paper-like display for comfortable reading without eye strain
TCL's proprietary NXTPAPER technology replicates the experience of reading a paper book on a screen. A special surface finish reduces reflections and diffuses light, making text appear softer and keeping your eyes fresh during long reading sessions. High-frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming eliminates the invisible screen flicker that often causes headaches during evening use on conventional screens. The TCL P80 Ultra is also the brand's first model to combine NXTPAPER technology directly with an AMOLED panel, ensuring eye comfort never compromises colour richness or contrast.
Sharp shots near and far
The 50MP main sensor with a wide f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilisation, and a large 1/1.56″ sensor size captures plenty of light even in twilight scenes or indoors. When shooting distant subjects, the 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom and dedicated optical stabilisation takes over, keeping your shots crisp even when zoomed in. Two stabilised, high-resolution sensors give the TCL P80 Ultra a camera setup rarely found in this price range, whether you are shooting portraits, architecture, or details across the street.
Wider shots and high-quality video
The triple rear camera setup is completed by an 8MP wide-angle lens with a 112° field of view and autofocus, letting you capture sweeping landscapes and group photos without taking a step back. The 32MP front camera with HDR support delivers sharp selfies even in strong backlight, where ordinary sensors lose detail in shadow areas. The rear setup also records video in up to 4K resolution, letting you capture key moments in pristine quality.
Balanced performance for daily tasks and gaming
The octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite processor, built on a 4nm process, combines four performance cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz with four efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz, ensuring smooth app operation and sensible power consumption. The Mali G615 graphics chip handles popular mobile games with great visuals, while the 8GB of RAM can be expanded by up to an additional 16GB of virtual memory for seamless multitasking. Fast 512GB UFS 3.1 storage on the TCL P80 Ultra speeds up app launches and improves performance when working with large files, such as high-resolution photos or 4K videos.
All-day battery life and fast top-ups
According to the manufacturer's internal testing, the 5800mAh battery delivers up to 23 hours of online video playback, 15 hours of continuous gaming, or 45 hours of talk time, so the phone easily keeps pace with your busiest days. Fast 45W charging with USB Power Delivery support tops up the battery much quicker than standard chargers, which is especially useful when you are short on time. The TCL P80 Ultra also supports 10W reverse wired charging, letting you power up wireless headphones, smartwatches, or other small accessories. The combination of a large capacity and an efficient 4nm processor ensures reliable battery life without the constant need for a mains socket.
Clear display in bright sunlight and the dark
A peak brightness of 3200nits ensures the screen remains easily readable even on bright summer days when standard phones fail in direct sunlight. An anti-glare, anti-fingerprint coating also keeps the display clean and legible even after hours of use. For evening use, the TCL P80 Ultra features blue light reduction modes that help you wind down for sleep after reading in bed.
Smart assistant always at hand
The Android 16 operating system, with support for up to four major updates, ensures the phone remains secure and up to date even after several years of use. Google Gemini works as a fully fledged AI assistant with which you can have a natural conversation, summarise long texts, plan a trip or develop your ideas into a specific form. The Circle to Search feature also lets you search for anything directly on your screen simply by circling it, without having to leave your open app. TCL P80 Ultra combines the latest version of Android with AI tools that save you time during everyday tasks.
