It just works, after some setup (connected to the TV via eARC) one can forget about it, I use it only for sound, I don't have any inputs in it, and the TV sort of solves it by itself - switching off, on, sound modes (atmos, stereo. ) according to the current HDMI input in the TV or running TV app, the controller can be in the drawer, so I like it.
the remote is huge and ugly.
if i play spotify cnnect in denon, and the device turns on, after turning on, there are 3 mini blackouts in the first minute of the song. It's only after the device is switched on, then it's not, I heard it's normal for denon/maranz, but I don't find it normal at all, but it's not a big problem.
The rotary volume knob, it's beautiful, big, but I've never used it and probably never will, as well as 20 other buttons directly on the device, here I see the slightly archaic look of today's receivers.
