Reflecting optics and a stable mount
The telescope uses a Newtonian reflector optical design with a 130mm spherical primary mirror. All optical elements are fully multi-coated, which improves the brightness and contrast of the final image. The instrument rests on an EQ2 equatorial mount. This compensates for the Earth's rotation and keeps the observed object in the field of view using the slow-motion controls. Thanks to the standard M42 T-mount, you can attach a DSLR camera to the eyepiece and get into astrophotography. The kit includes two eyepieces and a Barlow lens, which offer various levels of magnification.
