Levenhuk New Skyline Base 70/900 EQ2 Telescope

The Levenhuk New Skyline Base 70/900 EQ2 is a refractor telescope. With its 70mm objective lens diameter and 900mm focal length, you can observe details on the Moon, the planets of our solar system, and bright deep-sky objects. The model is equipped with an EQ2 equatorial mount, which makes tracking celestial bodies as they move across the sky much easier. It includes a height-adjustable aluminium tripod and all the necessary accessories.

Optical system for a clear image

The telescope is based on an achromatic refractor with an anti-reflective coating. This coating minimises light loss and increases the contrast and brightness of the resulting image. With a 70mm objective lens diameter, the telescope can gather enough light to observe objects up to an apparent magnitude of 11.7. The package includes two eyepieces, a SUPER 10mm and a SUPER 25mm, which, in combination with the Barlow lens, provide a wide range of magnification. The screen size mirror ensures the image is correctly oriented, which you'll particularly appreciate when observing terrestrial targets.

Stable mount and astrophotography option

The telescope is mounted on an EQ2 equatorial mount, which is ideal for astronomical observation. Unlike simpler alt-azimuth mounts, it enables you to track the movement of stars and planets by turning a single control. The mount offers fine adjustment on both axes, contributing to precise aiming and smooth object tracking. With the integrated T-thread on the focuser, you can attach a camera to the telescope and use it for astrophotography. The entire setup stands on an aluminium tripod with adjustable height.
