Microphone Principles
Dynamic Microphone is suitable for open-air performances, live performances, music production, etc. It uses a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
Condenser microphones are primarily used for studio applications. They have higher sensitivity and lower noise. They require a separate power source.
Frequency Range
The frequency range specifies the range of frequencies that the microphone can capture. The wider the range, the more sounds it can capture.
Low frequencies (e.g., 20–200Hz): Bass, the lowest notes of instruments (double bass, bass drum) and male voices.
Mid frequencies (e.g., 200–3000Hz): The body of instruments, the foundation of the voice, where the ear is most sensitive, important for speech intelligibility.
High frequencies (e.g., 3000–14000Hz): Treble, details, sibilants, and the "shine" of the sound.
Airband (above 14000Hz): Gives recordings a sense of expensive, high-quality sound andspaciousness.
Sensitivity
Microphone sensitivity is the ratio of output voltage to sound pressure. It indicates how loud a signal the microphone produces at a given sound pressure level; higher sensitivity means a stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments because it amplifies ambient noise less unnecessarily.
¹ Sold separately. Magnetic front covers are included as standard accessories with the DJI Mic Mini 2 (2 transmitters + 1 receiver), so there is no need to purchase them separately.
² The charging case can hold transmitters with the windscreen and magnetic front cover attached, even with a magnet or magnetic clip attached. Inside the lid of the charging case, you can store a magnet and a magnetic clip or an audio adapter cable. When storing a DJI Mic series mobile receiver, you can place a magnet or a magnetic clip on the left side insidethe lid of the , while only a magnet can be stored on the right side. To prevent damage to the product, do not stack multiple items on top of each other in the charging case.

The DJI Mic series mobile receiver supports simultaneous connection to DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic 3, DJI Mic Mini, or DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters, with up to two transmitters connectable at once. For details, visit the DJIMic Mini 2 webpage in the “Downloads” section, which lists the compatibility of DJI Mic series mobile receivers with various models.
⁴ Preset audio modes can be selected in the DJI Mimo app, with the default setting being “Regular.” This feature is not supported when the transmitter is connected directly to the phone via Bluetooth.
⁵ The Strong and Basic noise cancellation levels can be set via the DJI Mimo app or directly in the device interface if you are using an Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, or Osmo Action 6 connectedto one or more transmitters via DJI OsmoAudio Direct Connection. If the transmitter is directly connected to the phone, the noise cancellation level cannot be adjusted in the DJI Mimo app; the default setting is Strong. The noise cancellation switch on the DJI Mic series mobile receiver allows for quick adjustment of noise cancellation levels (Off = O, Low = L, High = H).
⁶ When the DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter is connected to a DJI Mic Mini receiver or a DJI Mic series mobile receiver, this feature is enabled by default and can be turned onor off via the DJI Mimo app. If If the transmitter is connected directly to a phone via Bluetooth, this feature is enabled by default and cannot be turned off. If the device is an Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, or Osmo Action 6 is connected directly via OsmoAudio, the settings can be adjusted on the product interface.
⁷ DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters can be connected directly to select DJI products (up to two transmitters for the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6). The transmitter’s battery life when connected directlyis approximately 7 to 8 hours. In the future, support will be expanded to other DJI products. For details, visit the DJI Mic Mini 2 webpage in the “Downloads” section of OsmoAudio.
⁸ Measured using a DJI Mic Mini 2 (2 transmitters + 1 receiver + charging case) paired with a fully charged charging case, with noise cancellation turned off, while recording audio up close in an open environment free of interference and obstacles, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver connected to the camera via a Camera Audio Cable(3.5 mm TRS).
⁹ The weight of a single transmitter does not include the magnetic clip and magnet.
¹⁰ For a list of compatible devices, visit the “Downloads” page on the official DJI Mic Mini 2 website.
¹¹ When connected directly to a smartphone via Bluetooth, the transmitter does not support audio recording using the phone’s native camera app; it only works with third-party apps. For a list of compatible apps, visit the “Downloads” page on the official DJI Mic Mini 2 website.
¹² Measured in a controlled testenvironment. Actual results may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version.
¹³ Measurements were taken in a controlled environment, with the transmitter and receiver batteries at less than 25% charge, using a charger with an output voltage of 5 V, with noise suppression disabled, while recording audio at close range in interference-free conditions, with both transmitters connected to the receiver, and with the receiver connected to the camera via a 3.5 mm TRS cable.
¹⁴ This feature is effective only when the device is turned on. If the automatic power-off feature for the transmitter and receiver is enabled in the DJI Mimo app, both devices will automatically turn off if no pairing signal is detected after 15 minutes.
¹⁵ If the receiver is connected to the camera via the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter and the camera is not in video recording mode or switches to playback mode, the receiver may automatically power off and will not automatically power on again when the camera is turned on. Thisdepends on the camera’s technical specifications and may vary depending on the camera’s brand and model. Please verify the details based on your own usage experience.
¹⁶ When use with the DJI Mic Mini receiver and two DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitters, the transmission range can reach up to 400 meters in an open environment without interference or obstacles. When used with a DJI Mic series mobile receiver and connected to two DJI Mic Mini 2 or DJI Mic Mini transmitters in Green Light mode, the maximum transmission range reach up to 300 meters inan open environment without interference or obstacles.
