Compact drone with 1" sensor and 8K 360° video on the DJI Avata 360
The DJI Avata 360 drone, with its 1-inch image sensor, allows you to capture high-quality footage.¹ Record 360° videos in 8K resolution at 60 FPS HDR or take photos up to 120MP¹¹ with a single touch.² The 2.4μm pixels, combined with the 1" sensor and HDR technology, capture both bright and dark areas with a high degree of detail. In post-production, individual shots can be freely cropped to create multiple outputs from a single recording. The drone allows for seamless switching between 360° and Single Lens modes.⁴
DJI O4+ image transmission and stable 1080p live view
The quadcopter features the O4+ video transmission system, which ensures a stable and high-quality live feed for a smoother flight. You can take advantage of the flexible control options for capturing footage and using the Easy Acro function. The DJI O4+ transmission is highly resistant to interference and supports 1080p resolution at 60fps with a range of up to 20km.⁵
DJI Avata 360 control options and FPV experience
The DJI Avata 360 drone offers versatile control options. You can use the RC 2 remote controller or the Goggles 3/N3 in combination with the RC Motion 3 controller, which deepens the FPV flight experience with a 360° view. The shot moves along with your head's movement. Controlling with the DJI RC Motion 3 is also suitable for beginners. Dual-channel colour video transmission provides an overview of your surroundings.
Quadcopter safety features – LiDAR and propeller guards
The safety of the DJI Avata 360 drone is ensured by several protective features. LiDAR located at the front helps to effectively detect obstacles, while the obstacle sensing function for night shooting³ in 360° mode is also useful for dynamic tracking. The integrated propeller guards further contribute to safer operation.
Intelligent Flight Modes and Object Tracking on the DJI Avata 360
The drone offers various flight modes and object tracking for better control:
- ActiveTrack 360°⁶ – automatically selects the optimal tracking mode (Standard, Cycling)
- FPV Gimbal Mode² – adds a natural tilt in Spotlight Free, ActiveTrack 360°, and manual flight modes
- Spotlight Free function – automatically tracks a moving object
- Spotlight – the front of the drone remains focused on the object, keeping it in the shot
360° Video Editing and Shot Composition
Footage captured with the compact drone can be easily exported in its original form and then edited in post-production – for example, by changing the composition from any perspective. You can also edit the flight path, add creative spins, the Asteroid effect, or a dolly zoom. You can also export the video without any edits, exactly as it was shot. Editing 360° footage is intuitive and flexible.
DJI Fly App, DJI Studio, and Premiere Support for Drone Editing
Using the advanced algorithms and the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps, tracking people, vehicles, boats, and other objects is very simple. In the DJI Fly app, just move your phone to find the ideal angle, lock it, and then export the shot with a single tap. In both apps, you can easily add camera movement and completely edit your video. Thanks to a plugin, 360° footage can also be edited directly in Premiere.

* All videos and images on this page were shot with the DJI Avata 360 by professionals in strict compliance with local laws and regulations and have been edited in post-production. All videos and images are for reference only. Always adhere to local laws and regulations, and ensure the drone has the appropriate certifications and flight permissions before flying.
** All data on this page was collected using a production model DJI Avata 360 in a controlled test environment. Actual experience may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version.
*** All images, videos, and on-screen content related to the product itself on this page are for reference only. The actual product features (including but not limited to appearance, colour, and size) and on-screen content (including but not limited to backgrounds, UI, and illustrations) may vary.
¹ Only available in 360° Mode. When shooting in 360° Mode, each of the two CMOS sensors of the DJI Avata 360 has an imaging area equivalent to a 1-inch CMOS sensor with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
² Only available in 360° Mode.
³ The conditions for enabling omnidirectional obstacle sensing at night are: The front, back, left, right, or top of the drone is within range of surfaces with recognisable texture and lighting intensity exceeding 1 lux. Similarly, the ground surface below the drone is textured and diffusely reflective with a reflectivity above 20% (e.g., walls, trees, or people), also under lighting conditions with an intensity higher than 1 lux. Do not fly the drone in adverse weather conditions such as strong winds (wind speed of 10.7m/s or more), snow, rain, thunderstorms, or fog. Do not fly the drone at an altitude of 5,000m or more above sea level. Do not fly the drone in environments where the temperature is below –10°C or above 40°C. Do not take off from moving objects such as cars or boats. Do not fly near reflective surfaces such as water or snow. Otherwise, the vision system may not function correctly. The vision system may not function correctly in low-light environments. Always fly with caution and do not let the drone enter Attitude mode. DO NOT fly near areas with magnetic or radio interference. Known sources of magnetic or radio interference include Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, Bluetooth devices, high-voltage power lines, large power transmission stations, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcasting towers. When taking off from a desert or beach, prevent sand from entering the drone. Fly the drone in open areas away from crowds. Buildings, mountains, and trees can block the GNSS signal and affect the onboard compass. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing is only effective in 360° Mode on surfaces with recognisable texture and under lighting conditions of 1 lux or more, and is not available when entering the playback interface. In Single Lens mode, only forward obstacle sensing is supported.
⁴ In Single Lens mode, 4:3 aspect ratio video recording is only supported when using Goggles 3/N3 paired with RC Motion 3 or FPV Remote Controller 3.
⁵ Measured in an outdoor, open environment, free of interference, and in compliance with FCC regulations. The 20km transmission distance is only available under FCC standards; in mainland China, the SRRC standard applies, with a maximum transmission distance of 10km. The data above shows the longest communication range for one-way, non-return flights. Always pay attention to in-app reminders during your flight.
⁶ ActiveTrack 360° requires the RC 2, RC-N2, or RC-N3 remote controller. It is recommended to use ActiveTrack 360° in an open environment. Refer to the user manual for unsupported scenarios or scenarios that may interrupt recording. In a complex environment with many obstacles, exercise caution when using automatic mode to ensure flight and personal safety.
⁷ Sold separately.
⁸ The values were measured using the internal storage or a high-speed microSD card in a laboratory environment with low interference in countries/regions that support both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies. Actual download speeds may vary.
⁹ Measured at a constant speed of 21.6km/h in a windless environment at sea level, with the camera in Photo mode, from 100% battery level until 0%. Data is for reference only. Always pay attention to the live view reminders during your flight.
¹⁰ For parallel charging, a DJI 65W Portable Charger or a DJI 100W USB-C Power Adapter is required. With an input power of 65W or higher, the hub supports parallel charging. Otherwise, the batteries are charged sequentially, with the least-charged battery being prioritised.
¹¹ For 120MP/16K 360° photos, the resolution is 15,520×7,760 (120MP) in JPEG format and 15,360×7,680 (118MP) in DNG format.
