Mouse construction
The magnesium alloy chassis reduces the total weight to just 56g. This metal material provides high strength while helping to passively dissipate heat from the user's palm. The symmetrical shape is suitable for gamers who use a claw grip or a fingertip grip. The low weight facilitates quick movements across the mouse mat, speeds up reactions in action games, and reduces wrist fatigue during long sessions. The package also includes a four-piece anti-slip tape for a firmer hold.
Optical sensor
The CORSAIR MARKSMAN S optical sensor tracks movement with an adjustable resolution from 100 to 33000DPI, in 50DPI increments. The device registers hand movement at speeds of up to 750IPS with 50G acceleration. The sensor boasts a resolution accuracy of 99.7%. Sensitivity can be changed in five preset steps using a physical button on the underside of the body, which prevents accidental presses during gameplay.
High polling rate
The device supports both wireless and wired polling rates of up to 8000Hz. A high data transmission rate reduces input lag during intense gaming situations. However, the response speed and achieving the full 8000Hz polling rate are directly dependent on the processor specifications of the connected computer.
Connection options
You have three different ways to connect to your computer. The 2.4GHz SLIPSTREAM wireless connection is complemented by an energy-saving Bluetooth interface for general office use. The included 1.8-metre braided cable with a USB-C connector is used for a wired connection and for simultaneously charging the integrated battery.
Setting up the Corsair gaming mouse
Configuration is done via the CORSAIR Web Hub directly in your internet browser. You don't need to install any software on your operating system. The web interface is used to adjust sensitivity levels and to assign functions to the six programmable buttons. The settings are saved directly to the mouse's internal memory.
Battery life
The integrated Li-ion battery provides up to 170 hours of use on a single charge when connected via Bluetooth. With a standard 2.4GHz wireless connection at a 1000Hz polling rate, the device runs for up to 120 hours. If you select the high 8000Hz polling rate in the 2.4GHz band, the battery life is up to 21 hours. A full charge of the battery takes approximately 90 minutes.
