Improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

The Bose QuietComfort 2nd generation headphones feature modernised Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which combines 6 integrated microphones with advanced QuietControl algorithms to isolate the listener from their surroundings. There is also an improved transparency mode (Aware Mode), which lets in ambient sounds so you can hear what's going on around you. The headphones also feature ActiveSense technology, which automatically dampens sudden and very loud noises in your vicinity, such as the sound of a siren. The ANC function can be completely switched off using the Bose app.

One of the most significant innovations the headphones can boast is the integration of Bose Immersive Audio technology, which was previously reserved only for the Ultra model. This creates a wider and more natural spatial soundstage even during normal listening. There's a Still mode for firmly anchored sound, a Motion mode that adapts to head movement, and a Cinema Mode designed specifically for watching films and listening to spoken word.
