Operating characteristics and reliability
The battery is optimised for two main modes. For standby operation, for example in backup power supplies, the float voltage ranges from 13.6–13.8V. For cyclic use, the recommended voltage is 14.5–14.9V. The gel technology results in a low self-discharge rate, meaning the battery retains 91% of its capacity even after three months of storage. The capacity depends on the discharge rate – in a 10-hour cycle, it reaches 9.55Ah, while with a one-hour draw it provides 6.00Ah. The operating temperature also affects performance, with the capacity dropping to 85% at 0°C.
