A Compact Lens Ready to Capture Every Moment
Thanks to its compact design and integrated autofocus, the VILTROX 28mm f/4.5 VCM is always ready to capture the moments worth remembering. Weighing just 60g and with a thickness of 15.3mm, it is one of the lightest lenses from Viltrox, and you'll barely notice it on your camera. It fits easily into a pocket or small bag, so you can always have it on hand. The fast focusing ensures you won't miss any interesting scenes, whether you're out on the city streets, travelling, or shooting everyday life.
Original Sliding Lens Cap
The VILTROX 28mm f/4.5 VCM is equipped with an innovative integrated sliding cap, which replaces the classic lens cap. With just a single movement, the lens is ready to shoot in an instant. When you're done shooting, you simply slide the cap back to protect the front optical element from dust and dirt. This practical solution also eliminates the risk of losing a separate cap and contributes to maximum convenience in daily use.
Impressive Starburst Flares
The specially designed front optical element of the VILTROX 28mm f/4.5 VCM lens creates a distinctive starburst effect when shooting against point light sources. This adds a unique atmosphere to night scenes, city lights, and creative compositions directly in-camera, without the need to create the effect during post-processing.
A Lens with Precise Autofocus
Despite its exceptionally compact size, the VILTROX 28mm f/4.5 VCM is equipped with fast and precise autofocus that makes shooting easier in any situation. The focusing system responds quickly to changes in the scene and helps you reliably focus on your subject, so you can fully concentrate on your composition and capturing the decisive moment.
A Lens with Technology that Fosters Creativity
Behind the compact body of the VILTROX 28mm f/4.5 VCM lies modern technology designed with an emphasis on reliability, simple operation, and high-quality image output. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, fast autofocus, and precise optics, you can fully focus on photography and develop your creativity without limitations.
You'll Be Surprised by its Durability
The VILTROX 28mm f/4.5 VCM lens is designed for reliable use even in more demanding conditions. The front optical element features an anti-reflective HD Nano coating, which reduces reflections and contributes to greater image clarity. The water-repellent protective layer also protects the lens from water droplets, dust, and dirt adhesion, making it easy to keep clean. The aluminium bayonet mount ensures a firm and precise attachment to the camera and a long service life. Moreover, it supports firmware updates via both USB-C and Bluetooth, allowing you to easily take advantage of the latest improvements and optimisations.
Compact Size without Compromising on Image Quality
Despite its ultra-slim design, the VILTROX 28mm f/4.5 VCM offers high image quality when photographing a wide variety of scenes. The optical system, consisting of 6 elements in 6 groups, uses two ED lenses that effectively suppress chromatic aberration and contribute to faithful colour reproduction, and two aspherical lenses that minimise distortion and maintain high sharpness across the entire frame. The lens thus provides detailed photos with natural colours and excellent definition when shooting streets, landscapes, and everyday moments, while maintaining an exceptionally compact size suitable for travel.
