I originally didn't want to buy one because it seems Victorinox has somehow started to go overboard with the limit of affordability. But thanks to a discount promotion, this knife came within my price ceiling, about 800 CZK for a larger knife made of rolled steel, with a plastic handle. Another reason for the purchase is that both of the domestic knife manufacturers are not yet capable of producing something like this relatively average knife. For our domestic manufacturers, this is unfortunately unattainable HiTech for the time being. The steel of this Victorinox knife is still quite good, although it is a bit softer (about 57 HRC) than the small knives of this manufacturer (about 60 HRC). The thickness of the blade is at the lower limit where it can still be considered a sufficient thickness with good penetration through the cut food. Thanks to its light weight and thin blade design, the knife is relatively agile and can cut vegetables and softer foods quickly and easily. The blade is recessed about halfway into the handle, which is sufficient and should not cause the blade to break out of the handle during normal use. Fortunately, the knife does not have serrations, because in the variants with serrations these are very unfortunately placed close to the blade, so after some time of use the blade will get on the serrations and the knife will have a jagged edge. A good manufacturer should have treated this better and placed the cutouts higher from the blade. I'm not a fan of this brand, thanks to the exorbitant prices for the larger knives, especially the forged ones are really priced out of the ballpark. In this design, it is a pretty good quality knife for home use, but at the upper end of the price range. Can still be recommended.
The knife is probably made of good steel and is still relatively strong, even though it is a rolled steel construction with a plastic handle
Blade thickness at the spine at the handle 1.95 mm, relatively balanced thickness, still can not be considered too thin and has good penetration of cut food
The knife is factory sharpened, but it is better to resharpen it to a more durable blade shape
Fortunately, the knife has no cutouts
I consider the larger knives of this manufacturer to be quite expensive and the forged version to be extremely expensive
The manufacturer does not specify the type of steel from which the knife is made
The blade could be curved upwards about 3 cm from the tip
