I have a 27-year-old SAMSUNG VP A-34 analogue video camera (8mm-MONO). It's simple to connect and transfer to a PC (WINDOWS 11 PRO) with an MP4 or MKV output format. 20 years ago, I used to transfer to PC using a Pinnacle DAZZLE (which doesn't support 64-bit systems) and it took tens of hours to convert to MPEG2. The only problem was with the connection via cinch and s-video, where there are females on the device and the camera, so I had to buy cables. For the money, it will convert an analogue picture (from VHS). To preserve the original HiFi STEREO sound, you need to choose a different path to the PC for the sound, the simplest way is the "line in" input on the soundcard.
