The device (as well as other " capsules" ) cannot compete with the quality of coffee from other coffee makers (for example, lever coffee machines), but it is definitely sufficient for average consumers and it has no ambitions to compete. The Tassimo capsule system is sophisticated, but I would expect a simple recycling system these days. I found the instructions somewhere on the internet, but it doesn' t work with any of the capsules I have - the aluminum cap can' t be peeled off.

I couldn' t find anywhere what the volume of the drink is for different settings (e. g. the volume of espresso, even at the smallest setting, is about twice as usual and it is necessary to manually stop the machine when the normal volume is reached). It means a series of trial and error.
