I've been using these sockets since the first series - I have to admit that now, the pairing is much more friendly than at the beginning, or during other series. I highly recommend it.
Initial pairing is working only with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and not with all of them. Seems like only 802.11b/g standard to be working. Also, had to disable all existing 5GHz network to connect. After initial connection, 5GHz can be re-enabled.
The procedure in the instructions (combination of GREEN flashing) does not correspond to reality. Historically (e.g. youtube 2019) apparently yes, but now the colours are different (blue) and the process is probably different too. In the discussion on 20.5.2022, Mr Stepan describes this. But even his advice didn't work in my case. I returned the product and bought another again in the hope that there would be a change. IT'S NOT! I have had three other switches from Sonoff for 2 years and I am satisfied. I would expect Alza to do some kind of background check on the products. All this time on pairing attempts is just for spite. And the board at the shop? "Then return the goods. "ATTENTION!
