If I'd known what I was in for, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Basically I paid 5k for the app because the fact that the crap can't be turned off and constantly sends Bluetooth is a serious shortcoming or rather excess for me.
The only app that can convert up to 5 hours of footage and then work with AI to create different prompts to process the footage. Normal AIs will take a few minutes to convert.
It can't be turned off, it's always in a sort of stand-by mode, always connected to bluetooth. Some people might be okay with it, but I am.
Poor quality recordings. They're much better on mobile. Considering what a little monster he is, I can understand that.
A maximum of 3 hours is able to identify the speaker. Vic didn't.
The ultimate version, which is supposedly unrestricted, is equally restricted to transferring a max of 100 hours per day max 5 hour recording.

The audio quality is about half as good as when I record the meeting on my mobile phone. But with such a small device, it's kind of expected - it's usable, just don't expect any studio miracles. The transcription itself is similar to the MS Teams recording - nothing groundbreaking, but usable and with the ability to replay the section. What's quite a surprise, on the other hand, is how the AI handles it. The output makes sense and in the end it corresponds quite faithfully to what was actually discussed at the meeting. Speaker recognition (Beta) is still a bit lacking. In the text input before transcription, it looks like one paragraph can contain multiple speakers and it is a bit more difficult to assign the right voice to the right person, but with more audio samples even this can be untangled and then it can detect it correctly. There is also a custom glossary to help with transcription accuracy. It will improve a little, but it can't be relied on completely yet. And if anyone wonders if Plaud in a MagSafe case covers the lenses on Samsung phones, then min. not directly on the S23+. A couple of millimetres only goes over the bottom edge of the metal edge and the glass. It doesn't restrict photography in any way.
You only spend the free minutes on the first AI transcription of the recording. Applying other AI templates is already free.
You don't spend your free minutes on clipping or AI prompts like translate note into another language.
Detection of Czech is absolutely without problems, that it triggers Polish for someone is such a complete nonsense.

And yes, other tools can handle transcription, but Plaud has it all in one and with declared enterprise security (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001,. ), which you can't get with AI services with basic subscriptions and with Gemini in particular.
In addition to the mobile app, a web version is also available. Ideal if you can't install anything on company hw. For the recording itself, however, the web application is not enough.

Somewhat unclear and exorbitant price in android app. On the other hand, in the web app PRO plan with 20h AI, costs for me an acceptable 268Kč/month for an annual subscription.

Absolutely great in English and surprisingly good in Czech as well.
5 hours/month for free is not enough (especially if you forget to turn off the recording, which will happen often) and the price for unlimited is high. There should be some intermediate version e.g. for 10 or 20 hours/month.

I bought this recorder because I saw the excellent results of the work of its predecessor. After receiving it, I did the installation, update and especially the language settings in the settings menu. I've set up CJ. The transcription of the file into a text transcript is done in Polish. The name of the audio file is also translated into Polish. When I try to regenerate the file it always turns out the same. When I change the language to AUTO everything is in Polish again. If I try to re-generate the transcript by selecting the manual settings, it is possible to select the Czech language, but the generate button remains inactive, so nothing happens. Finally, I just want to point out that I activated the Unlimited annual plan right when I installed it. For such an expensive product, I would expect it to be functional.
