I honestly didn't have very high expectations, I've been using it for a month now, practically daily or bi-daily. Of course it is not like a classic vacuum cleaner (I have a powerful construction vacuum cleaner at home) but the suction is quite good, for maintenance cleaning why not.
I use it on smaller rugs and the whole bed. So far it can suck up my 70cm or so hair and kitty fine hairs too Lightweight doesn't seem to be a big deal to me ( I guess that's a matter of opinion), not quiet either, but it does what I ask of it. Cable length is ok. I have no way to verify the function of the UV lamp, but as a placebo it certainly works well. It's always nice to crawl into bed after vacuuming. I don't know if that's a plus or a minus: A dry leaf was accidentally sucked out and I had to clean the whole thing, even unscrewing the UV lamp cover - the leaf residue got in there, so I agree that it's only for maintenance cleaning and soft surfaces and smaller areas.

Nice workmanship, easy to handle, back hurts with prolonged use but for mattress dust this product is definitely great. Unfortunately, I also chose it mainly because the description says it effectively vacuums out pet hair, which in the case of my puppy with medium-long hair is not true at all. For vacuuming the hair choose definitely another product designed for that, this one doesn't suck so strongly to pick up at least a little bit of hair... (Tested also on a black cover/linen, so it was really visible that all the hair stayed in place)
Great little mattress vacuum cleaner, the blue UV light only shines in close contact with the mattress so there is no danger of the UV light blinding you, our first anti-allergy vacuum cleaner and after just a few days we can feel our little one's and our allergies easing in the house. We wouldn't believe what we sucked out of the mattress.
