I had the steampod 2.0 type, still with the water tank separately, and I was worried about how heavy the 4.0 would be with the tank built in. Absolutely unnecessary - the Steampod 4.0 is lighter compared to the 2.0, even though the tank is tiny compared to the original model, it's fine for ironing long, thick hair for 1 fill. I'm thrilled and can only recommend it, no other flat iron can make your frizzy hair into a beautiful, smooth style. It takes me about 15 minutes to iron my hair to perfection. I'm not sure if I would recommend it for fine hair, where I would be worried about it looking flat after ironing. But if you have thick, frizzy hair and desire smooth, straight, healthy-looking hair, go for it. I can't imagine doing my hair without it: )
