Since the TV itself (LG OLED C5) is practically unlistenable, the sound is really disgusting, so any improvement is welcome. In the usual package with the TV we bought the SC9S soundbar, it sounded better than the TV, but the horrible plastic and surround sound (which was the main reason for buying the soundbar) was literally disgusting. The S80TR seems to be relatively normal sound-wise (the sound is not as full and colourful as our vintage Pioneer minisystem), but for watching TV, or for that matter, for the sound of the Pioneer. of the film OK. OK mineno - neither bad, but neither excellent. Apparently corresponding to the price range (purchased for 8,5 thousand). Easy pairing with the LG ThinQ app. The nice thing is that all the options available in the app are visible and arranged in the same way in the TV settings menu. You can choose from a range of preset modes, adjust the pitch, mid-bass and correction of individual channels, and also perform AI calibration using the phone's microphone. It should be noted that the bass is not overwhelming (even when fully corrected), and the soundbar / subwoofer can play bass (but it only shows up when calibrated). In our case, given that we live in an apartment building, this is just right. Thanks to the calibration, the sound improved and after a few days the soundbar even played, so the initial embarrassment has somewhat subsided. In any case, for normal TV watching (news) it is OK, for movies with surround sound it is great (here the rear speakers do their job and the viewer is really surrounded by sound). By the way, the rear speakers are small and I didn't expect much from them, but as a rear pair they do their job well. The soundbar can emulate space even from a normal sound, so e.g. the newsreader seems to be speaking from the space between the screen and the couch - but for me it sounds a bit too artificial and pulls on the ears. Music - yes, you can, both via BT and or primo Spotify / Chromecast, but. The sound is not as nice as a full-fledged minisystem can do. Anyway - I don't think it's rated on *****, but it's not bad. For LG TVs, probably the easiest way to true surround sound.
