I have bought 2 of these cleaners in the past, they have always had a carbon filter, 3 stages of fan, they were quiet in the base and when dirt was detected, the fan would run at full speed. Today it has 2 fan stages, it hums even on the first stage and in the package I only had a HEPA filter, not a carbon filter, so you need to buy that from the beginning. Also, the purifier does not detect pollution. If you buy a new carbon filter and just want to run it at full power occasionally to clean the air somewhere, it may work, otherwise not. It's a shame, I was very happy with the previous versions.
