I bought the speaker as a replacement for my aging Flip 3. I'm not an audiophile, so relatively little is enough for me as far as sound is concerned. However, I'm very happy that there is an equalizer in the app where I picked up the mids and highs right away. At maximum volume the sound quality really starts to suffer. The construction as usual looks very solid and the six has gained a little weight, which I welcome as it grows a bit with me: -). What I wasn't too happy about is that it's no longer possible to have multiple devices connected at the same time, so if I have the speaker connected to my computer, if I want to let music play from my phone, I have to disconnect the computer and the speaker, because the phone can't disconnect the computer (the other way around it can for some reason), I understand that in the age of shared playlists it's not so urgent anymore, but the ability for three people to be independently connected and take turns playing songs without constant reconnection will be missed. The second ailment is the uncovered USB input, which if wet will not charge. So if someone wets it when the battery is running low, you're out of luck, you can charge it up to an hour or two when it's completely dry (I haven't tried it personally, but if the sensors inside work as sensitively as on my phone, it's kind of like that). Overall, it is a good speaker that delivers 90% of the time what I want from it, it is portable and lasts a long time.
