For those who decide to purchase electronic home security, here are some of my experiences. About 2.5 years ago I also made a decision and finally decided on the iGET SECURITY M5-4G / WiFi / GSM system, with accessories (central unit, remote control / key fob EP5, PIR motion infrared sensors EP1, door / window sensors EP4, outdoor siren EP11, WiFi outdoor/outdoor camera EP18 (network), WiFi outdoor/outdoor camera EP29 (solar), smart socket EP16). Technical parameters and user manuals can be found by anyone, e. g. at https://www.iget.eu/iget-security-m5-4g-lite/ or at https://www.iget.eu/prislusenstvi-k-alarmu-m5/. I would summarize my more than two years of experience with the system in a few points:
1. User support: after registering at https://helpdesk.intelek.cz/login. jsp, constructive and qualified answers within 5 days of submission.
2. Alternative solutions: everyone can build a range of sensors according to their local conditions and expectations.
3. Software installation: the mobile application is free to download on the Play Store, easy, clear, installation and use without problems, updates are downloaded automatically.
4. Hardware installation: after studying the user manuals, the installation can be done by the end customer (in the hobby DIY category), revival based on the principle of mobile QR code detection on the sensor, no need to spend on a company. I would like to draw your attention specifically to placing the sensors at a greater distance (preferably approx. 1 m) from household electrical wires. distribution lines (risk of signal interference).
5. Battery life, power supply: to electricity network, a central unit is connected (with a backup replaceable battery for approx. 8 hours of operation in the event of a power outage. in the network), as well as an EP18 camera and an EP16 socket. The rest of the sensors, see above, draw energy from batteries (replaceable, commonly available. The EP29 recharges the internal battery from its own solar panel, it can also be powered by el. network via adapter) over the period of use (I haven' t changed any batteries yet) I can see the average residual capacity: EP5: 74%, EP1: 84%, EP4: 73%, EP11: 90% 6. General reliability of sensors: the sensors listed in the overview above work reliably, no false alarms, I have the sensors located within 50 m of the central unit, including 1 m of stone walls in the way - signal transmission without problems. During the sensor check test, immediately start the siren: outdoor, in the central unit, in the mobile phone + SMS message to the mobile phone.
7. Cameras: First I had an EP18 - mains (approx. 5W), continuous operation, automatic black-and-white infrared night vision up to approx. 30 m, HD color day vision, several levels of optical motion detection up to approx. 10 m (most recordings on SD card/Cloud: insects, birds, strong wind), without notifications of recorded movement to the phone, fixed detection time period (from - to) or all day. A great solution for monitoring. Lately I have the EP29 - a fully autonomous outdoor camera with an integrated solar panel. Even with more than 10 activations/day, I have not yet observed a drop in battery capacity below 100% (charging). Night vision is through the user switching on the LED, colored, up to approx. 20 m. Daytime color HD vision. There are several levels of motion detection, here on the better PIR principle (infrared radiation detection), in the highest resolution, the software is capable of exclusively the primary detection of a moving person / people, and I confirm, up to 10 m from the camera, etc. recording up to 20 m from the camera (without recordings to the SD card / Cloud: insects, birds, gusts of wind, etc. ). The possibility of choosing the detection time is also luxurious - either from - to or, in my opinion, better according to the selected alarm mode(s) (activation, deactivation, at home, SOS). The sound notification to the phone when motion is detected is great here. In all aspects, it is a higher level than EP18.
8. Smart Plug: I have it especially for the possibility of remote switching on / off the heat supply to the radiators from the storage tanks (circulation pump and automatic regulation of the mixing valve). The socket can be switched on/off: mechanically, remotely via a mobile application or via a key fob. So far, the EP16 smart socket has always worked 100% (no comments).
9. Keychain: Range from the central unit approx. 15 m, for more efficient mode switching (activation, deactivation, home, SOS) compared to a mobile phone. I used the fifth optional button to switch the smart socket. 10. Extensibility: From one application, also on the basis of a QR code, as an administrator I can very easily and without additional costs give e. g. family members the right to access the system in the " User" or " Guest" categories. It can also be connected to the central protection desk. Easy additional addition of additional sensors.
11. Overall impression: I give the iGET SECURITY M5-4G security system full marks. With the above system, if it is in " Activation" or " Home" mode, I feel safe if we go away from home or if we go to sleep, not only inside the house, but also outside. I expected the electronic home security system to reliably signal possible unwanted intrusions into the building and outside, and also to enable monitoring of the state of the house at any time through outdoor monitoring. Since this is how the system works for now, I introduce this to others who are making decisions. Great price-performance ratio.
