And it's not just one piece, I ran out of brand new ones after a complaint and the same thing happened on my first trip in winter - the amount of condensation from the inside of the glass is such that the display is unreadable underneath. After wading through many websites and discussions - even directly on the Garmin website - I found that it's a designers flaw - there are hundreds of users with the same problem - beware, only with the Garmin Instinct Crossover model (directly specific tactical/solar/atd models are no longer different, they all suffer from it).
Now the question is how much of a big deal it is - delicate electronics when they get steamy with salty sweat, I can't imagine a long life. And combined with the price tag, it can't even be thought of as a consumer good for a low unit years anymore, at which point it's forgivable: (
