I was a little disappointed with the kettle. After the original ETA ran out after 10 years, I replaced it with a similar type.
I like that it turns off relatively early, almost as soon as the water starts to boil, when pouring water does not leak anywhere around, nor does it drip. The handle is comfortable in the hand.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that it is not exactly the cheapest, it has several shortcomings.
- The watermark is only on one side. If you have the tap on the wrong side, you can't see it when filling the kettle.
- The base is quite light, when trying to sit a full kettle, it slides and wiggles on the table. It probably takes some getting used to, but with the old kettle I always hit it right the first time.
- Closing the lid is a bit tricky, it's also a matter of habit.
- Personally, I don't like the supply cord either. I would prefer it to have a curved fork, this one has a straight one, so it sticks out of the socket a lot into the space. Fortunately it was quite easy to replace, the base has 3 screws on the triangle, inside the cable is on fastons. But this is really what suits who.
