I switched to this power supply from Corsair RM1000x (2021). I had to buy the power supply because the Corsair RM1000x (2021) lost power and the thermal speed control stopped working. The power supply overheated over the summer and went into silicon retirement in the fall. For this reason I bought this new power supply and I hope it will last longer than its predecessor (17 months)
Performance is sufficient (feeds ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 240 Black, SAPPHIRE NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X 24G, Kingston FURY 64GB KIT DDR5 6400MT/s CL32 Beast Black EXPO, 2x Kingston FURY Renegade NVMe 2TB Heatsink)
I hope it can hold the load until the end of the warranty (120 months! )
The cables are no longer massively braided, they are squeezed into a flat cuff, so for me great for cable organization in the case ( 3x 8-pin GPU 7900 XTX)
According to the advantage above I have to write 1 pc 12VHPWR (16-pin), (for the 7900 XTX GPU I had to use 3x 8-pin), but still for a powerful GPU the 12VHPWR is really an advantage for cable organization.
The cable organization of the Corsair HX1200i is a massive leap forward from the braided cables of the Corsair RM1000x (2021). I give thumbs up (finally the braided cables are out of the cabinet.. for airflow in the cabinet this type of cabling is a step forward)
It's a bit audible under load, and it certainly doesn't get better with time. (But the waterman above the processor whistles more. so cool), (( plus when the power of the power supply is 1200W in a super powerful build - you can't expect not to be heard))
audible wiggle of the switch, but that's a problem with all Corsairs - it lasts .
