The installation went perfectly fine. On the first time nothing leaked, all seals were intact and after tightening not a drop anywhere. Only the threads are very loose, so the included tape was definitely not enough and I had to buy more. Otherwise it could be screwed in so easily that it would definitely leak. I was disappointed that compared to the picture, the cover frame is missing in the pool, so you can see the screws. But the mounting frame has grooves for it, so I'll try to buy it separately elsewhere. Also, time will tell how much the plastic is no/quality. At first glance, the quality is not great. One more observation, compared to the last skimmer, the flap is free so that it has free movement in and out. So, when the filtration is off, the crap from the basket can get back into the pool. I'll solve it by screwing in some stops on the top of the flap. Another problem for the future may be that the flap does not have extendable hinges, so it will not be designed for frequent removal. Maybe that's why it's hinged to the pool, so you can put the vacuum hose on.
