Although Avacom products are of high quality and normally fully replace the original in single cell batteries, this is not the case here. The battery has two cells in series, which are soon dissipated by charging in a simple charger, charging is terminated by measuring the total voltage, without balancing the cells. This will soon lead to a condition where the battery cannot be charged. The charger switches off when the total voltage reaches the desired level, but each cell inside has a different voltage. Unusable in the long term. I don't recommend it.
The battery fits well, initially has a decent capacity, comparable to the original
the battery cannot be charged with the original charger
when charging with a non-original charger, the cells will soon degrade due to unbalancing and loss of capacity
no functional internal electronics to control the balancing of the cells, which are "thrown around" by charging in series
It doesn't perform its expected function, it doesn't last nearly as long as the old original batteries at a comparable price from the bazaar.
For the first few cycles, it worked like the original.
2 stars, and not the minimum, for the fact that in case of absolute emergency Alza with this battery needs power e.g. for a holiday or an event will sort it out, even if it's electrical waste in the end.
After a few cycles rejected by the original MH-24 charger. That is, the 5-pole charger, which contains all kinds of safety protections and cell balancing and which, when charging the original batteries, can last well over 10 years.
Can now only be charged in a non-original 2-pole charger. That is, a charger that dully delivers 8.4V. And she doesn't care if one cell is 3.9V and the other is 4.5V. The safety of the charging process now depends on the electronics built into the battery. which apparently isn't working properly since the original charger rejected it. Untrustworthy.
