I needed to illuminate my desk and this product does that perfectly. I turn it on even when I don't need it and on the lowest intensity. Great for comfort at work. On the other hand, the maximum intensity is absolutely sufficient to illuminate the entire area in front of the monitor. The light itself can be tilted to suit everyone, so it doesn't shine in your eyes. The only negative is the use on monitors with thin bezels. However, this is not the fault of the product. The photo shows how I have the light stored on the monitor. This way, the display is hopefully not in danger of any defects. Thanks to the weight on the back, the light sits stably. Although the mainly mentioned minuses make it seem like an unusable scrap, it is not. It definitely does its job, it can be controlled without an external controller, the brightness and temperature regulation is smooth enough, the control is intuitive. For context on the negatives - this LightBar is not the best of the best, but the BenQ ScreenBar Halo2 I'm comparing it to (and which looks a bit cheap) costs more than triple, and my complaints about the poor quality are mainly directed at the controller and not the LightBar itself. Despite all this, the price ratio: the performance here is absolutely OK. If you need a usable LightBar for your monitor, and don't want to spend a lot more money on "branded" solutions, you probably don't need to look any further - in terms of lighting they are more than comparable, and the fact that the AlzaErgo LightBar and its driver looks a bit "Chinese plastic" is simply due to the fact that it's just a Chinese plastic thing and it's not even noticeable at first glance. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would.
