Monitor otherwise cool for the price, colors, brightness all cajk
The monitor heats up terribly and the power connector from the power supply plugged into the monitor gets burnt and stretched that the monitor drops out every now and then and has to fiddle with the connector
Overall the monitor isn't bad if you avoid dead pixels, but I can't shake the feeling that samsung is somewhat fudging it and could have done better for 17k.
Really impressive hdr on which even the oils don't dig
Design and workmanship, although from the side due to the curvature it looks really "matt"
Decent game settings
Clear image without smudges, shadows and similar flaws
In my only experience, this model probably actually suffers more from dead pixels, which is why I returned it in the first place
Colors even after long adjustment looked somewhat unnatural and oversaturated or faded (maybe VA technology, maybe my fault)
Weak in viewing angles. If one does not look straight ahead, the colours fade very easily
Low quality displayport cable supplied. Before buying, you need to take into account that it is not able to provide the full performance of the monitor
I didn't find benefit in the sag. Rather the opposite (but it's subjective)

For me grenade, super monitor! Not a single problem I've read in previous reviews. The monitor turns on perfectly fine not long, and does not fall asleep. It's all about the setting! 240hz you set in the settings otherwise the monitor runs at 120hz there were those who complained. I have no dead pixels or scanlines. G-sync supported don't worry. The only minus is the monitor stand is huge for the weight of the monitor and the monitor is a little shaky.
Of all the Samsung and Dell monitors (I don't count the Apple Studio Display, that's completely different) that I've bought, I would recommend this one the least, and for me for an important aspect - the ratio of image quality for production and gaming. For players I recommend.
240Hz
Great bend for playing
The picture has a gaming feel
This is a gaming monitor
Image quality next to Apple Studio Display is tragic
The Samsung G8 could be a great monitor but unfortunately it suffers from poor quality control from production. The monitor had several problems with the image, besides the unusable 240Hz due to scanlines, it woke up badly and often flashed all over. In the end I changed to the lower model G7 which works much better, although "only" at 165Hz but it is actually more than 120Hz which was usable on the G8.
4k resolution at 32" is just right
16:10 aspect ratio is great
surprisingly nice bending which I quickly got used to and would not change
240Hz unusable due to extreme visible scanlines
the monitor often "woke up" badly and flickered for some time before it recovered
sometimes it didn't turn on at all and it was necessary to downgrade DP version from 1.4 to 1.2 to wake up and start working
Why the volume adjustment is available in FW when the monitor has no speakers I don't understand.
The guys at Samsung have shown up... great monitor...
