The black smearing was quite noticeable. Honestly, I don't get what the 180Hz frequency is for when you get a black smeared trail behind every object anyway. This happens absolutely everywhere, but it's most visible in space games where the stars fade when you move, which is very distracting. This is supposedly a fast VA panel, but I don't think it's that much better than a standard one. I spent a really long time carefully playing around with the settings, but even the best picture I could get out of it wasn't satisfactory. The viewing angles are a bit of a disaster. It's not just about the angle you're looking at the monitor from (99% of people look at it straight on anyway), but also how far away you're sitting. If you want to look at something more closely, the colours in the corners already start to wash out (they go grey). The minimum distance from the monitor was about 1 metre; the closer you get, the worse it is. Returned.
