Sharp Image and Optics
The optical system uses a 1/1.8" 8MP image sensor that captures images at 3864 × 2160px at 30 FPS. The fixed 3.6mm lens provides a horizontal viewing angle of 109.9°, a vertical angle of 56.7°, and a screen size angle of 134.1°. The H.265 video compression standard effectively reduces data flow and storage capacity demands while maintaining a high level of detail. It also offers the H.264 format for older systems.
Night Vision
Recording in low-light conditions and complete darkness is handled by classic infrared night vision. The integrated light source uses IR LEDs along with an IR cut filter. The infrared illuminator reliably illuminates the area up to a distance of 30m from the lens. The camera switches to night mode automatically, thus maintaining constant surveillance of the selected area regardless of the time of day.
Advanced AI Detection and Smart Features
At the heart of the detection features is a processor with an integrated Multi-TOPS AI module for advanced scene evaluation. The system accurately recognises people, vehicles, and animals, minimising false alarms. The algorithms can also reliably recognise faces and read car registration plates. When a defined event is detected, the system sends an instant alert via a mobile notification directly to your phone.
Durability and Installation
The metal body, made of aluminium alloy and polycarbonate, has an IP66 rating, which signifies resistance to dust and jetting water. Physical protection against damage is defined by the IK04 standard. The device operates reliably in extreme temperatures from -30°C to 50°C. The three-axis manual adjustment makes it easy to aim the lens precisely when mounting on a ceiling or wall, while power is supplied via PoE with a consumption of up to 12.5W.
Connectivity
A single RJ45 Ethernet port with a speed of 10/100 MbE is used for network connection, which supports power over the data cable. The user performs management and setup via the UniFi Protect app, which is available for iOS and Android mobile operating systems. The system does not require any paid subscription for saving recordings to local UniFi network recorders.
