The Ubiquiti UniFi Protect IP camera captures its surroundings in 3840 × 2160px resolution at a frame rate of 30 FPS using a 1/1.8" sensor. This outdoor PTZ device with an aluminium chassis offers a viewing angle ranging from 3° to 59.8° and a 22× optical zoom for getting a closer look at details. Classic infrared night vision illuminates the scene up to a distance of 100m. Advanced artificial intelligence algorithms detect people, vehicles and animals directly within activity zones. Power is supplied via the PoE++ standard, and the robust IP66-rated construction withstands adverse weather in temperatures from -40°C to 50°C.

Excellent 4K image and optics
The 1/1.8" sensor with 8Mpx resolution delivers clear footage at 30 FPS. The varifocal lens with a focal length of 6.36 to 138.5mm and an aperture of ƒ/1.5 to ƒ/3.4 works with a single optical element. The wide field of view offers angles of 59.8° horizontally, 44.4° vertically and 70° screen sizely, while the telephoto lens narrows to 3° horizontally, 2.24° vertically and 3.76° screen sizely. To save storage space, H.264 video compression effectively reduces the recording's data rate without losing important details.
Advanced night vision
Night-time illumination is provided by classic infrared night vision with adaptive technology. Integrated IR LEDs along with a mechanical IR cut filter illuminate the scene up to a distance of 100m. The light beam automatically adapts to the zoom level and eliminates overexposed areas in the image. This means the camera reliably captures objects even in complete darkness.
Intelligent detection with artificial intelligence
Motion Detection 2.0 technology analyses the image and recognises people, vehicles and animals. Advanced AI functions include face recognition and car number plate reading. Users can set specific activity zones for precise monitoring of selected areas. An audible alarm is activated when an unusual event is detected.
Motorised rotation and durability
The aluminium alloy and polycarbonate construction is impact-resistant according to the IK10 standard. The motorised PTZ mechanism performs endless 360° horizontal rotation and 120° vertical tilt. The optical zoom offers up to 22× magnification of the scene without loss of image quality. Recordings are saved on a MicroSDXC memory card with a capacity of up to 256GB. The device operates in temperatures from -40°C to 50°C and has an IP66 rating.
Connectivity and application
A GbE RJ-45 LAN port provides network connectivity with PoE++ power support in the 42.5 to 57V DC voltage range. Device management and live stream monitoring is done in the UniFi Protect app, which supports Android and iOS operating systems. The user interface offers a choice of several world languages, including English, German and French.
