KREUL JAVANA Batik Dye, Happy Orange, 70g

KREUL JAVANA powder fabric dye is used for dyeing and tie-dyeing natural and synthetic fabrics. It is suitable for materials such as cotton, viscose, linen, wool, silk and polyamide. The dye contains a fixing salt and allows dyeing at low temperatures. Thanks to its vegan formula and the ability to dye at temperatures from 50°C, you can revitalise old clothes or create brand new patterns on cushions, bags or bed linen. The powder is packaged in a resealable bottle, which makes dosing easy.

Creative tie-dye techniques

With KREUL JAVANA dye, you can use several creative techniques. With the shibori method, you create patterns by tying, folding and knotting the fabric with rubber bands or string. Another option is wax batik, where liquid wax is applied to the fabric, which leaves white patterns after dyeing and ironing. The dip-dye technique consists of gradually dipping the textile into the dye, creating a transition with an irregular edge. These processes will transform ordinary textiles into unique pieces.

Dye preparation and dosage

Dyeing takes place in hot water in a bucket or in a pot on the stove. The powder is effective in a temperature range from 50°C to 95°C. The minimum temperature for dyeing is 50°C, which is suitable for wax batik, for example. The powder dye is contained in a resealable bottle. The bottle not only makes it easy to dose and mix the dye accurately, but also to store it for later use.

Care of dyed textiles

Dyed textiles are not boil-proof. To increase colour fastness and wash resistance, the manufacturer recommends using KREUL fixing agent (no. 98553). Always wash dyed fabrics separately at a maximum temperature of 40°C.
