LCD on the pump block
The pump cover of the THERMALTAKE TH240 V2 Ultra ARGB Snow Edition liquid cooling features a circular 2.1" LCD with a resolution of 480×480 pixels. The panel displays real-time system operating data, the current time, or the weather forecast. The full-colour display shows 16.8 million colours, faithfully reproducing graphics. Users can upload their own files in JPG, GIF, PNG, MP4, MOV, and AVI formats via the accompanying TT RGB Plus 2.0 software, which lets you monitor the processor frequency and temperature directly on the pump block.
Fan performance
Two 120mm fans with addressable backlighting provide forced airflow. The components deliver an airflow of 57.05CFM and a static pressure of 2.23mm H₂O while maintaining low noise levels. Radiator and copper block
The radiator body is 27mm thick, so it fits easily even into space-constrained cases. Inside is a 20mm thick copper chamber. This chamber helps to transfer heat more efficiently to the aluminium fins. The reinforced chamber design improves cooling performance without increasing the external dimensions of the radiator. The base has a solid copper plate with high thermal conductivity for rapid heat transfer from the processor. The pump runs at speeds from 1500 to 3300rpm and maintains a constant circulation of liquid in the system. The low-evaporation hoses prevent liquid loss, so the system works long-term without needing maintenance or refilling. The pump ensures smooth circulation of the coolant throughout the closed-loop circuit.
Cable-free fan connection
The fans use a daisy-chain system via integrated connectors. This wiring method significantly reduces the number of cables required inside the computer case. The connection saves free 4-pin PWM and 3-pin ARGB ports on the motherboard. Only a small number of wires are needed for the connection, which simplifies cable management and improves airflow inside the case. One PWM cable and one ARGB cable are included for easy connection to the motherboard.
Installation
The accompanying TT RGB Plus 2.0 software is used to customise the display and monitor hardware temperatures. The THERMALTAKE TH240 V2 Ultra ARGB liquid cooling package includes mounting kits for both Intel and AMD processor sockets. The system supports a wide range of sockets, including Intel 1150, 1155, 1156, 2011, 1151, 2066, 1200, 1700, 1851 and AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2, FM2+, AM4 and AM5. The system supports Intel LGA1700 and AMD AM5 sockets. This compatibility facilitates installation on current motherboards for modern processors.
