Tamron 50-300 mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD for Sony FE

Tamron 50-300 mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD for Sony FE
The Tamron 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD for Sony FE (model A069) delivers a superb 50mm at the wide end of the focal range. Despite reaching up to 300mm at the telephoto end, the lens has an extremely compact size with a length of just 150mm and a class-leading weight of 665g. In addition, the lens' special optical element arrangement effectively controls aberrations and ensures high image quality throughout the 50-300mm zoom range.Turn ordinary everyday events into unforgettable shots. The ultra multifocal focal length lens allows users to enjoy serious photography in a user-friendly package and expands the possibilities for creative expression. The lens is designed exclusively for mirrorless cameras and cannot be used with DSLRs.

Quiet and fast autofocus with excellent performance for semi-macro images
The Tamron 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD lens for Sony FE features a VXD linear motor focusing mechanism that provides excellent quietness and snappy autofocus performance, while the VC image stabilization mechanism provides powerful support for all aspects of shooting. At the 50mm wide end, the lens achieves a minimum focusing distance from the subject of 0.22m and a great maximum magnification ratio of 1:2. This ensures excellent close-up performance, allowing users to fully enjoy the world of semi-macro photography.

Practical design with 67 mm universal filter and weather resistance
The 67mm filter size is common to many TAMRON mirrorless lenses for added convenience when carrying multiple lenses - or even just one for everyday outings. The 50-300mm F4.5-6.3 VC is packed with features, that support a richer photography experience í, such as moisture-proof construction, fluorine coating and connector for special TAMRON Lens Utility software.
Revolutionary VXD autofocus for quiet and precise performance
VXD autofocus is a world premiere: It is the first linear focusing motor developed by Tamron for superior autofocusing. The two VXD modules, which operate in a floating system and are controlled by electronic pulses, provide fast and accurate focusing on both near and distant objects. The new motor also ensures improved AF tracking, for example when shooting sports. The autofocus works so quietly that you can shoot even in situations that require complete peace and quiet.

Protection against splashing water
Tamron lenses have a weatherproof lens hood that optimally protects the sensitive interior from wind and weather. The robust outer shell is effectively sealed against moisture ingress at all critical points (e.g. between the focusing ring and the bayonet connection). This ensures reliable operation even in the harshest outdoor shooting conditions.
Special XLD and LD optical members
Like LD, it prevents chromatic aberration and other defects. However, XLD is a much more sophisticated system, which is mostly used in telescopes. Colour defect is a common optical defect, manifesting itself in many ways. We often talk about so-called chromatic aberration, which is more common in wide-angle lenses. LD members are made of special optical glass with extremely low light scattering, which effectively compensates for colour defects, especially noticeable when using telephoto lenses in the extreme position.
Advanced BBAR and BBAR G2 coatings for improved brightness, contrast and lens protection
The BBAR coating prevents reflection and scattering of light falling on the lens surface. Avoid loss of brightness and contrast and prevent "ghosting." The BBAR coating also contributes to the natural colour rendering. Since 2019, the advanced BBAR G2 coating has been used. The fluoride coating permanently protects the front lens from contamination. Oil and water droplets do not stick to the surface, which is therefore very easy to clean.
Hybrid aspherical lenses and ZOOM LOCK for sharp images in all conditions
The abbreviation "ASL" (ASpherical Lens) refers to hybrid aspherical lens elements. They correct typical zoom lens aberrations, such as spherical aberrations (sharpness errors). In addition, you can replace several other optical elements, allowing for a more compact design and consistently high image quality. Mechanism helps keep the image sharp when shooting without a tripod or in low light conditions.ZOOM LOCK (zoom lock) allows locking at any focal point.
Tamron Lens Utility
The new "TAMRON Lens Utility" software has been developed specifically for the configuration of compatible lenses.
Advanced focus adjustment for perfect control
Adjustable buttons allow flexible focus control, including the ability to set two focus positions (A and B) and automatically shift between them. Focus preset function allows quick switching to a preset point at the touch of a button, while the choice between auto and manual focus (AF/MF) provides user convenience. The focus limiter helps narrow the focus search range for more efficient operation. The focus ring can be switched between focus and aperture, and the Astro-Focus Lock function ensures auto focus at infinity. The ability to assign functions from the camera to the focus adjustment button and a focus limit between two preset points adds precision. The rotation of the MF ring can be adjusted for easier focus control.
