OPINEL VRI N°08 Inox handle beech + leather string

The versatile Opinel VRI N°08 Inox pocket knife with stainless steel blade is a great companion for adventures, not only in the countryside. The knife is equipped with a patented ViroBlock lock, which prevents the blade from closing unintentionally, but also against its spontaneous opening. It also features a handy leather pouch so you can keep your Opinel close at hand at all times. The blade length of 8.5 cm is made of Sandvik polished stainless steel, which, thanks to the anti-corrosive properties of the added chromium, is extremely corrosion-resistant and virtually maintenance-free. It is with regard to this steel that the blade is also characterized by its long-lasting sharpness due to the carbon present in the mixture. The handle is made of beech wood in a natural shade and is heavily varnished to resist moisture and dirt.

Tradition is the key to success

The first OPINEL knife was produced in 1890 and over time the brand has become a cult in the field of pocket knife closures. Today, OPINEL knives are being sold worldwide at a staggering 360 knives per hour. Most of the wood used to make the handles comes directly from France. The rest is made up of imported exotic woods for the luxury series of knives (ebony, zebrano, rosewood). OPINEL blades are made of top quality Swedish steel.
