LAUF protein

Its delicious flavour and perfect formula will launch you into space! LAUF PROTEIN!

Lauf protein is composed of 50% native concentrate and 50% native isolate. The concentrate contains immunoglobulins, lactoferrin and other substances beneficial to our body. Meanwhile, the isolate ensures a high protein content. This combination creates a protein that is very easy for the body to utilise, from the highest quality source! Its quality, digestibility and purity are unrivalled.

Native protein from the milk of free-range, grass-fed cows

Undenatured native whey protein is cold-processed directly from the fresh milk of free-range, grass-fed cows from certified European farms. Unlike conventional proteins, the milk undergoes only one gentle pasteurisation (it is normally pasteurised 2×). The microfiltration process takes place at a very low temperature (under 10°C), which allows the protein to retain its immunoglobulins and enzymes. This makes it easier to digest, well-absorbed, and most importantly, it has better utilisation of the proteins it contains. Thanks to this gentle processing method using fresh milk, the protein retains its natural profile of amino acids, including leucine, which is an important component of muscle proteins.

The difference between native whey protein and standard “cheese” whey protein

Native whey protein is produced cold, directly from the fresh milk of pasture-raised, grass-fed cows. In contrast, “cheese” whey protein is made from cheese, or more precisely, from whey, a by-product of cheesemaking. Standard whey protein is therefore a more processed food than native protein. During its production process, amino acids and beneficial substances are degraded because the milk must first be pasteurised by heating, then the cheese is made at higher temperatures, and in the final production phase, the whey obtained from the cheese is heated again to produce whey protein. With native protein, on the other hand, there is only one pasteurisation at the beginning of the milk production. Then, native whey protein is gently extracted directly from the milk at low temperatures via filtration, without degrading the fragile bonds between the amino acids. The resulting product is an exceptionally high-quality, pure protein that is very easily absorbed and digested by the body. Native protein is characterised by a high content of amino acids, containing, for example, 7g of BCAA per serving, as well as naturally occurring components like lactoferrin and immunoglobulins. Native protein is the caviar of proteins.

Gentle production of native whey protein

One of the reasons native whey excels in protein content and absorbability is its manufacturing process. Native whey protein undergoes pasteurisation only once, whereas standard whey protein is pasteurised twice. This can lead to the denaturation (degradation) of proteins. Additionally, the production of native whey protein involves a cold microfiltration process (at temperatures below 10°C). Simply put, the production of native whey protein is so gentle that it retains a high amount of protein and a higher quantity of amino acids.

DIAAS - the protein quality index

It’s not just the protein content, but also the digestibility of the amino acids that’s important to consider. Native whey protein scores excellently in the DIAAS (Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score). This is an assessment of proteins based on the absorbability and digestibility of their amino acids. In other words, it measures the quality of a protein in terms of its absorbability in the body. And native whey ranks at the top of the DIAAS ratings.

Native whey protein

The term native protein refers to a manufacturing process where whey and milk are separated without any prior separation for the purpose of making other products, such as cheese. While other production methods place proteins last in the queue for processing everything from milk, native whey protein is a standalone product that is created first from the milk.

The highest quality type of protein on the market

Unlike standard whey, native protein is extracted directly from milk using a cold process, which multiplies its digestibility and the utilisation of its proteins. The word “native” relates to the process where whey and milk are separated without being used to produce other dairy products first, which is the case with standard proteins. This gentle processing method is also reflected in the amino acid spectrum, as native whey protein contains up to 16% more pro-anabolic leucine and almost 40% more cystine. In every scoop, you'll find 26g of protein. Native protein naturally contains a very diverse spectrum of amino acids. Each amino acid has a specific function in the body, but they only work at half-throttle on their own – together, they are much stronger!

The difference between LAUF Protein and Performance Protein

Both LAUF and Performance protein contain the highest quality native protein. The difference is that LAUF contains 100% native protein in the form of isolate and concentrate in a 1:1 ratio. In contrast, Performance contains 62% native whey protein and 26% collagen, and is also enriched with colostrum and coconut oil. LAUF protein has a richer amino acid spectrum, particularly pro-anabolic leucine, as it contains 100% native whey protein. LAUF protein is more focused on protein supplementation for athletic performance and muscle growth, while Performance has broader applications for immunity, gut health, and training.

Why choose LAUF native whey protein?

  • Gently extracted from fresh milk of free-range, grass-fed cows
  • Higher concentration of amino acids (7g of BCAA per serving)
  • The highest possible quality, purity, digestibility and bioavailability
  • Amino acids in intact bonds for better utilisation in the body
  • Higher concentration of leucine for muscle building
  • Preservation of immunoglobulin and lactoferrin
  • Whey in its natural form, as found in milk
  • 26g of protein per serving
  • Sweetened with the natural sweetener stevia, which does not harm the microbiome

High amount of amino acids

Native whey is rich in amino acids. It's particularly notable for its high levels of leucine and cysteine. Leucine stimulates the process of protein synthesis, where proteins are created from amino acids. Thanks to leucine, this process is much faster. The second key amino acid is cysteine, which is a precursor to glutathione. These amino acids are crucial for us because they contribute to building muscle mass and regeneration. However, they are also very fragile and sensitive to heat. Thanks to its gentle processing, native whey is rich in both of these amino acids, making it a high-quality protein source, especially after a workout.

Native protein for men and women

LAUF protein isn't just for men. Proteins are the building blocks of our muscles, regardless of how active you are. They are also part of every cell, where they function as receptors and are an important element of our immunity. Native whey protein also preserves substances called lactoferrins and immunoglobulins.

Excellent taste without sugars or artificial sweeteners

Stevia leaves give the protein its pleasantly sweet taste. This herb is up to 300 times sweeter than sugar, contains no calories, and what's more, it doesn't raise blood sugar levels. Crucially, unlike artificial sweeteners, it doesn't have a negative effect on the gut microbiome. For a creamier consistency, we've used guar seeds. These contain a portion of fibre that promotes gut health and helps you feel full.

A proper portion of high-quality protein

Mix 1 scoop (35g) with 200ml of water or milk. You can also add the protein to your breakfast porridge or smoothie. Depending on your daily protein intake, use 1–3 servings per day. As we are switching to new scoops, you may find two different types in your protein. For the small, 70ml scoop, a heaped scoop is recommended. For the large, 100ml scoops (a shovel-like shape), it's recommended to mix 1 level scoop.

Dosage

Mix 2 scoops (35g) with 200ml of water or milk. Depending on your daily protein intake, use 1–3 servings per day.
