The Black Diamond Distance 1500 Octane headlamp is an extremely powerful LED flashlight suitable for demanding runners, climbers, and rescuers. It offers 1500 lumens of light with a range of 200 metres. It is equipped with a battery with status indicator. The versatile optical lens design provides a combination of depth illumination for better obstacle detection and smooth, diffuse light for constant visibility. The headlamp also has an integrated red flashing light and strobe function. It is water and shock resistant (IP67), so you can use it even in inclement weather and in rough terrain.

Optimal performance even in challenging situations
Integrated PowerTap technology amplifies the light to a maximum setting of 1500 lm for easier and faster terrain assessment over long distances or trail marking monitoring. After 10 seconds, the light will automatically dim to save battery power. The Black Diamond Distance 1500 headlamp allows for a total of three light intensity options.
Battery capacity is enough for many hours of power
The replaceable magnetic battery has enough capacity to last 8 hours at the 300 lumen setting, and the light duration at maximum output is 1.7 hours. The battery pack of the Black Diamond Distance 1500 headlamp is located at the back of the head, so it can be easily replaced with one hand. It is recharged via a micro-USB connector.

The flashlight features a Comfort Cradle padded cradle that is positioned low and contours to the head to eliminate bouncing. For added comfort, the Black Diamond Distance 1500 headlamp has an integrated suspension. The top strap is removable and provides better stability when moving in the field.
